COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Four is truly a light yet flavorful beer. The recipe uses a good portion of wheat and incorporates a sour mash into the process to make it slightly tart and extra refreshing. It has delicate aromas and flavors that span a range of floral, grassy and herbal notes. The finish is extra dry and makes the beer a great beverage to pair with food, especially various cheeses and shellfish.
Malts: organic pale, organic wheat, organic munich
Unmalted: rolled wheat
Hops: hallertauer mittelfrüh

Bottle. Pours pale yellow with a huge white head. Flowery and yeasty aroma. Taste is light and drinkable, yet quite complex with its crisp sourness, it’s mild spiciness, citrusy hoppiness, and dry herbal finish. Nice clean and pale matiness. Interesting flowery aftertaste. Great beer!

Serving: 750 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a hazy, light amber color with a well sustained white head. Nice light florals in the nose along with some yeast and hay notes. The flavor doesn’t disappoint with a light citrus note, soft florals, hay, and dusty yeast notes. Complex and flavorful. Light body with high carbonation and a spritzy mouthfeel. One of the better saisons I’ve had lately.

750 ml bottle purchased at the Portland Airport (made in Oregon shop) for me by my lovely wife. The pour is a lightly hazed pale golden with a large, lasting white head. The aroma is soft bready, citrus lemon, grass hay and a classic Saison yeast character. The taste is grass bread hay, along with a clove herbal quality that I didn’t pick up on in the nose. The citrus reappears in the finish, which also has some interesting gypsum mineral earthiness. The palate is light bodied, spritzy active carbonation and the grass and earth in the finish. Very drinkable. My Upright fanboyism continues.

From 9/29 notes. Shared with John for Breaking Bad finale tasting, beer #3. 750ml bottle pours bright hazy yellow with a big 2 finger thin sudsy head. Nose is citrus, fruity, orange, some chai notes. Mouthfeel is high carbonation, very bubbly. Taste is oranges, orange freeze pop, clementine, hay, wheat. Finish is citrus, spicy, lemon, mild hoppy fruitiness. Easy drinker, it’s simple but well executed. Nice.

750ml brown bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a few fingers of bright white foam. Spotty lace. Nose has some citrus, pineapple, bread, wheat. Taste has grains, wheat and bread, mild toast, yeasty, citrus, light fruitiness. Dry finish, lingering yeast notes with a bit of spice, and soft hops with grassy bitterness. Complex and satisfying for a low abv beer, easy to drink.

750 capped bottle from Whole Foods PM. Pours turbid bright gold with frothy well retained white head. Nose is wheaty and pale malty, with notes of florals, white peppery spice, hops, and mild yeasty funk. Tastes floral, a bit tart fruity, with some funky yeasty, white pepper and coriandert spice, hops, and a dry tart finish. Comes off like a Berliner weiss/saison hybrid.

Pours gold into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention top hats and recedes leaving spider lacing. Lemon and yeast aromas. Sharp and a little watery with lemon front to back and through the medium length finish.

750ml bottle 9/14/13 (Binny’s Naperville)-40° in Tulip-Pours a hazy yellowish orange with a huge white head. Aroma of yest, citrus, and hops. Taste of spices, wheat, grass, herbs, and yeast. This light bodied brew is not bad and the spices are not overpowering.

Bottle. Poured a hazy yellow color with a large frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate floral, herbs, citrus and yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy complex sweet flavor with a medium to heavy spice sweet finish of moderate to long duration. I would recommend this to a friend.
