Four is truly a light yet flavorful beer. The recipe uses a good portion of wheat and incorporates a sour mash into the process to make it slightly tart and extra refreshing. It has delicate aromas and flavors that span a range of floral, grassy and herbal notes. The finish is extra dry and makes the beer a great beverage to pair with food, especially various cheeses and shellfish.
Malts: organic pale, organic wheat, organic munich
Unmalted: rolled wheat
Hops: hallertauer mittelfrüh

Hazy gold pour with an amber core and a huge, fluffy to chunky off white head. Aroma is full of cereal, some toast, hay, tart stone fruit, tart apples, slightly funky, earthy grass, tart wheat, spicy and floral hops and spicy and floral hops. Flavor is cereal, floury grain a little toast and bready up front, some light fruity tartness, wet limestone mineral/funkiness, a hint of tart wheat and very light floral, grassy hops to the finish. Light body with a neutral to off dry and slightly crisp feel and light, somewhat blanketing and soft carbonation. Really good stuff overall, very quaffable, I think it could probably stand a bit more flavor and still be table beer eligible, some more carbonation wouldn’t hurt either, but it is pretty damn good as is.

75cl bottle. Gold with huge white foam. Really lively. Grass, hay and earthy notes in the aroma, light spice. Murky herbal/earthy tones in the taste, bready malt, lightly pungent fruity Belgian yeast. More grassy stuff. Loads of fizz. But musty and muddy. Not bad for a sessioner.

Cloudy dark yellow, loose white head. Smells like bubblegum and banana, plus a tangy, tart note. Taste is yeasty sweetness, plus some pineapple and banana. Really tasty and delicious. Could have drank a ton of this...

750 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of sweet juicy apricot, citrus and nice herbal notes. Rich citrusy flavour with floral hops, apricot, some grains, mellow caramel and herbs. Medium bodied, lively carbonation and a sharp, citrusy, bitter finish. Very enjoyable, light and refreshing.

Bottle. Pours pale yellow with a huge white head. Flowery and yeasty aroma. Taste is light and drinkable, yet quite complex with its crisp sourness, it’s mild spiciness, citrusy hoppiness, and dry herbal finish. Nice clean and pale matiness. Interesting flowery aftertaste. Great beer!

Serving: 750 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a hazy, light amber color with a well sustained white head. Nice light florals in the nose along with some yeast and hay notes. The flavor doesn’t disappoint with a light citrus note, soft florals, hay, and dusty yeast notes. Complex and flavorful. Light body with high carbonation and a spritzy mouthfeel. One of the better saisons I’ve had lately.
