COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Four is truly a light yet flavorful beer. The recipe uses a good portion of wheat and incorporates a sour mash into the process to make it slightly tart and extra refreshing. It has delicate aromas and flavors that span a range of floral, grassy and herbal notes. The finish is extra dry and makes the beer a great beverage to pair with food, especially various cheeses and shellfish.
Malts: organic pale, organic wheat, organic munich
Unmalted: rolled wheat
Hops: hallertauer mittelfrüh

Pours gold into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention top hats and recedes leaving spider lacing. Lemon and yeast aromas. Sharp and a little watery with lemon front to back and through the medium length finish.

750ml bottle 9/14/13 (Binny’s Naperville)-40° in Tulip-Pours a hazy yellowish orange with a huge white head. Aroma of yest, citrus, and hops. Taste of spices, wheat, grass, herbs, and yeast. This light bodied brew is not bad and the spices are not overpowering.

Bottle. Poured a hazy yellow color with a large frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate floral, herbs, citrus and yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy complex sweet flavor with a medium to heavy spice sweet finish of moderate to long duration. I would recommend this to a friend.

750ml bottle, thanks to b3shine for sharing. Mostly clear pale yellow color... Bubbly white head. Bready lemon citrus aroma. Smooth, soft carbonation. Medium-plus body. Some beglain yeast, floral notes. Sweet taste. Alright, for me.

750 ml bottle to taster (shared by me with the group). Looks good; a transparent gold with AMPLE white head and lively carbonation. Smells solid; doughy and yeasty with light hops and tartness. Tastes like it smells with a nice, light mouthfeel and a fairly dry finish. Good beer.

Idiosynkrasie (4091) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - AUG 31, 2013
750ml bottle. Cloudy yellowish golden colour with huge, frothy, to macroporic out-blowing, eventually collapsing, white head. Fruity aroma has notes of gooseberry, green apple, lime, tangerine, a touch of yeast, slightly grassy character overall. Taste is moderately tart, hints of lemon, some grassy and floral hoppy overtones, supported by a prickling carbonation; with the prickling fading away the minimally sweet wheat and pale malty basis gains weight; light body. Refreshing, light - a nice summer beer.

750 ml bottle. Light straw colored with lots of sea foam at the top. Mild notes of citrus rind, grass, yeast and herbal hops in the aroma. The taste delivers a moderate dose of lemon, clove and wheat upfront along with a bit of apple and hops toward the end. Soft and smooth mouthfeel with significant carbonation and a dry, citrus finish. Overall, a quality session Saison at the lighter end of the spectrum.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours extremely hazy golden amber color with a 3 finger foamy and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a thick cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, clove, pepper, wheat, bread, straw, grass, light funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, wheat, bread, pepper, clove, grass, straw, light funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of light fruits, wheat, bread, pepper, clove, grass, straw, light funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a bit. Very nice balance and complexity of malt and fruity/spicy yeast ester notes; with good flavor robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and prickly mouthfeel that is great. Zero alcohol warming present after the finish as expected for 4.5%. Overall this is an excellent session saison style. All around great balance, complexity, and robustness of flavors for 4.5%; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
