COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Four is truly a light yet flavorful beer. The recipe uses a good portion of wheat and incorporates a sour mash into the process to make it slightly tart and extra refreshing. It has delicate aromas and flavors that span a range of floral, grassy and herbal notes. The finish is extra dry and makes the beer a great beverage to pair with food, especially various cheeses and shellfish.
Malts: organic pale, organic wheat, organic munich
Unmalted: rolled wheat
Hops: hallertauer mittelfrüh

Bottle from Brewery Creek. A lemony and Bretty aroma greets you. Yellow golden body with lots of soapy head. A lemon and wheat tartness. Lacey. Above average carbonation. A good drinker though a tongue burner with the Thai spice. As a saison, well its tart.

Sample at The Crest. Hazy yellow-orange color with a medium white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit, floral hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal yeast, lemons and hops. The finish is grassy hops and fruit. Decent overall.

750mL thanks to BrainLayer. Pours a full hazed straw. Soapy, large foam. Suddy retention. Nose is puppy breath- cleans up after sitting out for a bit. Gains pineapple, lemon, dough. Still some celery and dog. Taste is grassy, lemon soapy, very bubbly with some acrid bitterness. Not quite complete. More like a work in progress. Sharp oil, vitamin C, some medicinal sharpness in the palate. Still refreshing, but not close to be being a world class saison. As it warms, more pineapple and white peach throughout. Small tartness, biscuit, lemon, dough. Refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A solid saison, it has a nice herbal character, not too sweet, refreshing for the summer.

Pale yellow-golden pour. Hazy/cloudy with a tight white head. The aroma is a little bit grassy and grainy. Moderately sweet wheaty flavour with a touch of bright lemony character. A little bit of white Mmpepper. Drinks a little green, despite the potential in this glass.

Pour at Scott’s saison tasting, pout out of bottle is slightly hazy pale yellow with thin white head, aroma brought notes of lemon, vanilla, oak, some earth, grass and spice notes as well. Taste is a nice mix of lemon, biscuit and vanilla, hints of earth, grass and tart fruits, finishing fairly sweet with a nice dry finish, very drinkable.

draft. unfiltered. approach is lightly sweet, mildly tart, lightly acidic (lacitc/malo?). medium-high attenuation gives it moderate dryness. spice character is subdued: mild soap, mildly sweet biscuit grains, light wheat. overall enjoyable but somewhat dull and quiet. might have to revisit the bottle-conditioned version.

750 capped bottle from Whole Foods PM. Pours turbid bright gold with frothy well retained white head. Nose is wheaty and pale malty, with notes of florals, white peppery spice, hops, and mild yeasty funk. Tastes floral, a bit tart fruity, with some funky yeasty, white pepper and coriandert spice, hops, and a dry tart finish. Comes off like a Berliner weiss/saison hybrid.
