COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Four is truly a light yet flavorful beer. The recipe uses a good portion of wheat and incorporates a sour mash into the process to make it slightly tart and extra refreshing. It has delicate aromas and flavors that span a range of floral, grassy and herbal notes. The finish is extra dry and makes the beer a great beverage to pair with food, especially various cheeses and shellfish.
Malts: organic pale, organic wheat, organic munich
Unmalted: rolled wheat
Hops: hallertauer mittelfrüh

Hazy gold pour with an amber core and a huge, fluffy to chunky off white head. Aroma is full of cereal, some toast, hay, tart stone fruit, tart apples, slightly funky, earthy grass, tart wheat, spicy and floral hops and spicy and floral hops. Flavor is cereal, floury grain a little toast and bready up front, some light fruity tartness, wet limestone mineral/funkiness, a hint of tart wheat and very light floral, grassy hops to the finish. Light body with a neutral to off dry and slightly crisp feel and light, somewhat blanketing and soft carbonation. Really good stuff overall, very quaffable, I think it could probably stand a bit more flavor and still be table beer eligible, some more carbonation wouldn’t hurt either, but it is pretty damn good as is.

Draft at the Syb Pig. Pours a cloudy yellow with a thick head. Aroma is sour or tart fruits, cut grass, herbs. The taste is very minimal in flavor with light fruits, some herbs, and grass. Lightly sour. Very watery. Rather disappointing actually.

Bottle @ RBBSG, 2014. Thanks! Cloudy yellow colour. Medium carbonation. Spicy aroma with notes of pepper and citrus. Yeasty. Light hoppy. Not bad but I didn’t like it very much.

750 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG III. Thanks! Darker golden, creamy white head. Nose is sweetish white bread, brett, peach, hay, light zest. Light lactic funk in the taste, white bread, zest, touch sugar, faint soap, fruity, light flowers, white pepper. Very easy to drink. Lovely.

750 ml bottle. Pours a clear yellow straw color with full head. Bright aromas if bananas, honey, and resin. Flavors are similar and very clean with a little apples and white pepper. Subtle and refreshing.

Appearance: the beer is a very hazy darker shade of gold, pours with a very tall off white head that settles into a nice density Aroma: lemon, yeast, grass, citrus, pine, sour, flowers, smells good Taste: sour, tart, has a bitter kick to it as well, lemon, Palate: lively carbonation, light mouthfeel, leaves mouth dry, minimal aftertaste Overall: my second beer from this brewery and I’m impressed again, very flavorful and aromatic while hiding the alcohol very well for a saison, highly drinkable, makes a great session beer

Hazy straw hued under a thin white cap. Nose has some Belgian dusty hay with just a little touch of hoppy orange zest. Smooth flavor featuring some more of that orange note, with a clean Belgian barn malt and light hay flavors, some wheat, and a clean Belgian wheat finish.

17.05.2014, 0,75l bottle @ home:
Huge slightly fizzy longlasting head. Aroma is loaded with Co2 stinging in the nose, followed by citrus, hay, yeast, flowers, citrus peel, hints of grain. Taste is slightly dry, hay, yeast, citrus, flowers, citrus peel, grass, leafs. Medium bitterness, dry mouthfeel, very high carbonation. Fair enough, would probably be a lot better if it hadn’t been for the high carbonation.

Draught from proletariat. Golden pour. White head. Bit of a yeasty funk. Weird grainy note that hurt this one.

On tap at the blind tiger. Hazy orangish yellow. Plenty of unsalted wheat and very rustic. A bit of lemony freshness on the tongue. Finish is long with a dry pepper finish.
