3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy gold pour with an amber core and a huge, fluffy to chunky off white head. Aroma is full of cereal, some toast, hay, tart stone fruit, tart apples, slightly funky, earthy grass, tart wheat, spicy and floral hops and spicy and floral hops. Flavor is cereal, floury grain a little toast and bready up front, some light fruity tartness, wet limestone mineral/funkiness, a hint of tart wheat and very light floral, grassy hops to the finish. Light body with a neutral to off dry and slightly crisp feel and light, somewhat blanketing and soft carbonation. Really good stuff overall, very quaffable, I think it could probably stand a bit more flavor and still be table beer eligible, some more carbonation wouldn’t hurt either, but it is pretty damn good as is.

On tap at beertemple, amsterdam. Body is hazy yellow orange, head is very big, white, creamy rocky, fully lasting, excellent lacing. Nose is malty, flavor is fruity, light wild yeast, tropical fruits. Medium sweet, light sour. Finish is medium lasting light sweet sour. Medium body, dry texture, average carbonation. Easy, refreshing, nice but not too exciting.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewery.
A: Cloudy pale gold, thin drifting white head.
N: Banana, clove, straw, grass, lemon rind, lavender, coriander, and a noticeable yeastiness.
T: Sweet and bready, lightly tart.
M: Light body, crisp carbonation, no alcohol presence.
O: A good saison that I think has also gotten left behind a little bit. It’s quaffable, but straightforward; makes a better base these days.
