Bottle. Cloudy orange pour with a small fizzy head. Aroma is a great mix of barnyard, grape skins, oranges, and oak. Tastes moderately sour. Nice juiciness balances the sour and it mixes well with the lemon, oak and barnyard flavors. White grape finish. I usually don’t like the more wine-like sours but this one was great. My first Upright beer did not disappoint.

Bottle: Thanks, Eddie. Nearly opaque, dense tangerine color, foamy white head settles to a foamy collar quickly. Aroma of grape must, lightly vinous white grapes, light olive, some sour lacto, a little wood, some funky sweat, brettanomyces, a hint of lactic acid. Flavor isn’t puckeringly sour but it’s plenty tart. Lemon, mild white grape, faint boozy character like you’d get from a wine, but not hot. A touch of acidity, yogurty lacto, hay, musty barnyard floor, slightly tannic, wet oak, & a tart grape skin finish.

Bottle: The aroma consists of sour grape skins, white wine, citrus, and oak. It pours a cloudy dull orange with a white head that quickly fades to a minimal film. The flavor starts with moderate citrus with some faint white grape. The finish has moderate tart lemon, sweet tarts, white wine, and oak. It’s light bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, super tasty and refreshing.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is slightly acidic with some citrus and light tropical and stone fruit. Moderate grape must with some light oak notes. Pours a hazy golden orange with a faint white head that recedes quickly to the edges where it lingers. Faint lacing and medium small legs. Flavor has a medium to medium light acidity with some faint sweetness and a hint of malt character. Some light citrus character with some hints of tropical fruit and stone fruit. Moderate grape notes with some light oak and grape skin tannins. Light bitterness and light oak flavor. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer from Upright with a good grape character. Nice acidity and oak notes. Decent tannin character.

Hazy golden pour. Quite acidic and funky on the nose. I’m going to go with muscat tinged baby shat. :) Tastes kinda like that too...in a good way. Not the world class beer that Fantasia was, but pretty nice.

Bottle sent to me by Prufrockstar - thanks!! Hazy orangish amber pour with a slight white head. Pear, grape and a slight funk in the nose. Slightly tart taste, lots of stone fruit, grapes and a little oak tannin in the finish. Quite nice.

Bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a tiny white head. Nose is sublime, with fresh muscat grapes, some light funk, and citrus zest. Flavour is exquisitely complex, with loads of grape must, funk, and zest. Very complex and funky, with amazing depth. Wonderful stuff.
