Tap @ Barleywine & Big Beer Fest... [2009 Vintage] Poured dark ruby with a white head. Given this was probably brewed in the breweries infancy, it did not hold up well. Big diacetyl bomb and mildly acidic. Aroma had some salad dressing-like acidity and the flavor was a mixture of Belgian-like yeast and buttered popcorn.

Lucky Lab Big Beer and Barleywine Festival 2010 from my notes. Dark reddish brown pour with a small white head. Aroma and flavor were complex, with some acidity, caramel, pepper, a slight earthen hoppiness. Not my favorite of their beers, but still pretty good.
