COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Offen Kolsch is brewed in a classic German style, using an authentic yeast strain and open fermentation to produce a beer that show cases pure malt character and delicate hop flavors. A light and balanced profile along with a soft finish make this traditionally brewed Kolsch a perfect pub beer, as the Germans have known for years.

Tap @ OBF... Poured pale, hazy yellow with a thin off-white head. Yeasty aroma with some bread malted grains in there. Tasted biscuity with too much of a yeast presence for the style. And not a good yeast flavor.

On draught at 26th Oregon Brewers Festival. Clear pale yellow color. Honey aroma. Taste is light hops, honey, subtle malt. A bit more full-bodied compared to a usual kölsch, but still refreshing.

On draught at Oregon brewfest 2013 - color is cloudy golden with thick white head. Nose is very much yeast and bread. Taste is of bread and butter with some hints of grass and citrus. Dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at OBF. Pours hazy dishwater light gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is a touch bready with some citrus. Med minus body. Flavor is very lightly bready with citrus, turning a bit towards a wheat flavor. Quite refreshing.
