COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seven is our most aromatic beer. The brewery’s saison yeast is fully expressed in the aroma with lots of fruitiness while the hops provide light spice notes. The beer has some heft mid-palette but finishes dry with a lightly lingering bitterness. Seven is satisfying on its own but pairs great with a variety of typically fragrant cuisines such as Thai or Indian.
Malts: organic pale, pilsener, organic munich
Hops: magnum, mt.rainier, hallertauer mittelfrüh, liberty

Bottle from Mikkeller & Friends bottle shop. Deep gold with a pillowy white head. The nose is of apricot, citrus fruits. Light orange peel and grapefruit. Barnyard funk. Yeast. The taste is mildly spicy. Peppered pineapple and grapefruit. A bit of marshmallow. Angel food cake. Soft and pillowy mouthfeel. Not as aggressive as I thought an 8% saison would be. Overall, fairly pleasant stuff.

Zeebra Extreme Beer Festival - Clear, pale blond colour with decent lasting head. Aroma has the light sweetness and sourness of a Granny Smith apple. Flavour has lots of fresh, malty sweetness mixed with apple. Some dryness comes through late in the aftertaste.

Definitely a big, rich and full bodied Saison. Rich, malty, yeasty, spicy, Brûléed sugar aromas are a bit ambiguous on the nose. Though on the palate, the yeast melds into huge, tropical, ripe peach, stonefruit, pear and tons of spicy clove flavors. Good mouthfeel and complex flavors. Full bodied indeed. Not exactly refreshing, though very satisfying.. Drinks with more complexity and balance as it warms... Almost Belgium Triple-ish. In fact, this is a transition saison for those that love Triple's. Does work well with Thai food as recommended.. Though with very different flavors. --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...
