Seven is our most aromatic beer. The brewery’s saison yeast is fully expressed in the aroma with lots of fruitiness while the hops provide light spice notes. The beer has some heft mid-palette but finishes dry with a lightly lingering bitterness. Seven is satisfying on its own but pairs great with a variety of typically fragrant cuisines such as Thai or Indian.
Malts: organic pale, pilsener, organic munich
Hops: magnum, mt.rainier, hallertauer mittelfrüh, liberty

750 from Randalls. Half of the Perfect Pint glass is white foam that slowly falls in on itself. The beer under it is hazy golden. This beer is very fruity and most of it are tropical. Lemon grass, alcohol, spices, banana, Belgian farmhouse yeast, earth, and a mix of dry and sweet. Nice beer and it has a lot going on.

Bottle. Pours a crystal clear amber color with a ginormous white head on there. Nose has a lot of fruitiness, with a bit of apple in there, some hints at sourness, and some subtle spice notes. Taste is a tad sour, but has an extremely dry finish. Feels a bit drying on the palate to me.

Bottle from agold. Thanks! A: Cloudy browned yellow. Fluffy white head. Lacing. N: Peppercorn, toffee, biscuit, cracker, and some esters. Bit of funk. Hops seem to lend more of a spiciness than a citrus. T: Sweet. Not much bitterness. M: Creamy carb. Medium-ish body. O: A very different beer than 4,5,6. Maltier and more aggressive.

UPDATED: MAY 19, 2015 On tap at The Tangent in Vancouver. A yellow amber beer with a bit of white head. A fruity, slightly spicy saison like none I’ve ever had before. Perfect balance, and a perfect summer beer. 3.7. <grin>
And most recently at St Augustine’s in Vancouver. Previous impressions are confirmed. An amazing saison! Still 3.7.
