COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seven is our most aromatic beer. The brewery’s saison yeast is fully expressed in the aroma with lots of fruitiness while the hops provide light spice notes. The beer has some heft mid-palette but finishes dry with a lightly lingering bitterness. Seven is satisfying on its own but pairs great with a variety of typically fragrant cuisines such as Thai or Indian.
Malts: organic pale, pilsener, organic munich
Hops: magnum, mt.rainier, hallertauer mittelfrüh, liberty

Bottled (thanks veliempoiot!). Golden colour, small white head, that leaves lace. Aroma is citrus, some farmyard, mild sugar and sweet wooden notes. Flavous is quite sweet citrus (and fruits) with some sweet malts, mild earth and some yeastyness. A bit dry for the palate, but more refreshing than very dry. Some slight yeasty/earthy/spicy mixed thing in the finish.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2011 2011-04-08, bottle from Point Grey, Vancouver, 7-4-7-3-15=36
Cloudy orange-amber color; generous creamy head. The aroma has a nice pungent profile of Belgian yeast, light fruits, light sourness. Good body strength, the mouthfeel is smooth, also because of a lot of micro-carbonation; malt flavor with a lemony tartness. Correct bitterness, with some late astringency.
Interesting.

2011-03-10, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 7-3-6-2-12=30
Cloudy deep blond color; creamy head, persistent. The aroma is mild, a bit fruity and spicy. Correct body strength; strong wheat flavor; maybe spicy, but unfortunately not fruity; the final bitterness is a tad too strong for this kind of beer. Not as offensive as I had recently, but still not an interesting beer.

2011-03-04, draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, 6.7% ABV (?), 6-3-5-2-10=26
Cloudy blond color; creamy head. Mild aroma of dirty water and fruits (apricot). Dry malt flavor, with some fruity touch; plastic flavor too; it’s too much carbonated, and the bitterness is too high. Unbalanced, difficult to drink.

Bottle, 75 cl. A big, creamy white head forms over a lightly golden body. Lightly grassy aroma with peppery notes and a lots of fruityness. Full-bodied and lightly warming, with a nice carbonation level. Peppery, sweetish, fruity flavor with a good bitterness. Dry on the palate. Lasting finish with peppery flavors, fruityness and a peppery hint. Some pine cones. A wonderful food beer, or as a thirst quencher. 130811
