COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Six is a dark rye beer with layered flavors including chocolate, caramel, pepper, wood, cherry and tropical fruit. It starts semi-dry and smooth and finishes fully dry and tart with a small bite from the hops. The overall balance of the Six makes it easy to pair with richly prepared meats along with many harder cheeses.
Malts: organic pale, caramel, rye, black
Unmalted: rolled rye
Hops: magnum, tettnanger

Huge cream-coloured head, leaving lace over unclear dark rusty-brown beer. Creamy nose, dark malts obvious (even Maillard it would seem), green leaves and markedly gassy. Bitterish-dry. Leafy flavour, and one not unlike oatmeal. Dry cocoa powder, faintly bready - oatmeal/ryebread? Feels quite spritzy, even fiery. Obviously well-carbonated. Not much body. Rustic? Lacking (a bit of) character, rather. Still, far from bad.

(Bottle, 0.65 l, at Stadin Panimobaari, 20150821) The beer poured deep brown and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweet rye bread, malts and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, sweetness, molasses, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A malty and fizzy brew.

750ml of old beer. Poured an ugly brown bidy with lots of visible floaties and a fizzy beige head. Aroma of old fruit cake, bad dates and fig, chocolate and dough with a tinge of alcohol. Flavor is lots of cardboard, newspaper, old dates, bad figs, dough, chocolate and some bread crusts. Blah, wase of $$$.

Bottle @ Camping RateBeers 2015; Nat & Winderig, courtesy of the crew! Pours a hazy amber beer with a small off white head on top. Aroma of rye, red fruits, bread and a faint amount of older hops. Flavor is a bit dull, tarty with yeasty notes, accompanied by some red fruits. Not sure what to think of this, but it’s okay.

Chocolade bruine kleur met een volle kraag. Ruikt mout. Smaakt fruitig, zoetig. Beetje kruiden.

Bottled. Pours deep brown with a large off-white head. Aroma of dark fruits, wood, chocolate, bread and mild spicy. Slightly sweet flavor that ends up dry, quite tart and with a hint of bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice Ale indeed. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

750 mL bottle from Tasty Beverage Co., Raleigh, NC. Dark brown pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of rye, caramel, light chocolate, hints of smoke, and wood. Somewhat peppery taste with dark fruit flavors, cocoa, and dark roasted rye. Finishes dry and gives the impression of a higher alcohol beer. Nicely done.

Shared bottle, deep dark Amber Brown colour with a tanned head. Nose of sweet caramel, spiced rye, Bread, grains, Some fresh citrus, plums, and sweet malt notice. Soap hops in the hint with a small herbal note. Again dissappointed
