Bottle at a tasting at James’ place. Pours a clear gold and a thin white head. Floral and woody, mint and juniper. Medium bodied, sweet and full of interesting flavors. Mint, juniper, herbal and medicinal with some sour background flavors. Acid and soft musky wheat. Finishes with some lemony acidity, floral and minty. Light touches of wood. Super interesting. Tastes like a Weasley girl, very Ginny.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2012 Bottle at our Cellar Dip party... Poured hazy, pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of spruce and juniper, with a quite a bit of gin on the nose. Sweet, mildly lactic with some nice estery, spicy yeast flavors. More gin-like characters, botanicals, and a little bit of honey malt sweetness, light fruit tanginess like peaches and apricots. Crisp and refreshing.

Bottle #28 of 36 shared at the Jackie O’s release by ucusty. Pours a hazy golden color with a smaller fizzy white head. The nose has notes of juniper, flowers, tropical fruit, herbs, citrus and lactic acid. The flavor has a nice tart acidic quality with apricot, pineapple, floral notes, citrus, herbs and oak. This was an unexpected treat. Thanks much Dave.

(750ml bottle #20/36 thanks to sideshowe) cloudy bright medium yellow with fine white bubbles. Nose is funky, orange zest, simple syrup and peppercorns. Taste of juniper, herbal, pine, resinous but not bitter, not a huge fan of gin, so the barrel influence wasn’t my favorite. Nice linger though with soft carbonation.

Special thanks to DaveytheFormer for bottle #28. Shared at the Jackie O’s release. Aged in Old Tom Gin Barrels W/ Flowers. Hazy gold pour with a fizzy white head and spotty lace. Aroma is gin botanicals, tropical fruit, and lactic acid. Flavor is acidic. Sour apricot, juniper, pineapple, floral notes and oaky tannins. Excellent stuff!
