Bottle: Bottle 26/149. Thanks, Sean. Completely opaque peach skin color with a foamy, soapy white head that quickly fades to a semi-chunky collar. Aroma of heavy Brett hay, funky musty, woody cotton & some peach-like, stone fruit acidity in the back-end. Flavor of mild peach, apricot, stone fruit, & a touch of lemon with a strong back drop of hay, cotton & Bretty barnyard funk. Drinkable sour ale with a strong brettanomyces presence. Really nice stuff.

A - pours clear amber orange with no head. No real lacing. S - pineapple, bourbon barrel notes, funk, must and stone fruit. M - medium body, dry and sticky sweet. T - apricot and pineapple to start, bready malts and citrus zest. Some chalky talcy notes. Dried apricots dominate. O - a little too sweet for my taste. Wish I tried it fresh. 3.7

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml capped. Hazed orange straw, ample white head. Bright lemony apricot, straw, underlying sweetness, some lacto milkyness going on. Lemony brett, oak, white wine grape, apricot is barely present...mostly unripe in flavor, lacto tart/sweet character. Mostly lemon tart throughout, with some apricot, some milky sweetness toward the end. Nice, even though not overly complex or apricot forward.

Really nice up front apricot with some underneath musty dusty hay and lightly herbal notes. Soft funky notes, a touch of barrel notes as well. Pours hazy orange, thin head and lace. Apricot up front and throughout, herbal notes underneath, a touch of bitterness, a touch funky and dry. Lingering tangy apricot. Nice carovonation. Lingering tangy funky. Solid stuff.

750ml bottle. Thanks to Todd for sharing. Bottle 102 of 120... pours a somewhat transparent orangey softer brown hue and topped with a thin creamy white head... Earthy brown and light barrel earthy presence. Lighter dried fruit, not much apricot... Flavors are somewhat sweet with apricot dried fruit accents. Sweeter through the middle. Medium bodied with equalizng carbonation. Not bad with a bit of earth on the finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
In short: A rustic, oaky, dry and apricots-fruity ale. Highly drinkable and complex. Lovely.
How: Bottle 750ml. One sent to me by julian and another one by mcberko, thanks guys. This rating for the bottle sent from julian, an ealier (first?) release, one year of age?, bottle #91 of 120.
The look: Cloudy shining peach color body topped by a persistent small white head.
In long: Nose has a bright wild yeast character, dry freshly cut oak, apricots. Taste is very clean for the style. Nice fresh fruits (obviously apricots upfront but also mangos, goseberries, peaches, and even some bananas). Dry oak. Very nice bright and clean wild yeast (pedio-ish I think). Strong rustic sensation. Very high attenuation. Low sourness sensation, this is definitely more a wild-rustic ale than a sour ale. Fun foamy and very lively mouthfeel. Not many so-called sour ale I can describe as sessionnable but this is one I could drink gallons of, I went down my 750ml bottle like it was a session Saison. I think there would be a lot more divorces if all beers were that good and if internet browsers did not have a clear history button.

Bottle @ Crooked Stave ROY-G-BIV Day, shared by a generous dude. Thanks! Pour is hazy orange with a big white head and great lacing. Huge peachy, apricot aroma - oak, light spice, tannin, straw, somewhat doughy, lemony, and zesty. Taste is big sour peaches, apricots, lemon zest, somewhat peppery, and fruity with a big sour finish, yet smooth and refreshing. Medium body with soft carbonation. Seriously tasty sour!
