Bottle... This beer rocks!… Cloudy mahogany ale with little to no head. The nose is a mélange of roasted caramel, lemon and sour cherries. Full-bodied with a 1%-milk mouthfeel and jazzy carbonation. The flavor is a fantastic marriage of toasted oak, sour cherries and buttery toffee. Finishes tangy and fruity with loads of purple grapes. Think Irish ale meets Flanders red. Huge thanks to landhoney for sharing this bottle of world class beer!

Thanks a bunch to hannont for passing this one along. Pours dirty cloudy brown with a small tan head. The aroma has cherries, oak, vinegar, tartness and caramel malt. It has a medium / full smooth body, but it still has lots of semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with lush cherries, full malt for the style, vinegar and caramel. The finish is more tart with some oak, bugs and peppery spice. Really nice.

Shared by Todd at RBSG 2015. 750mL capped bottle. Aroma is old smelling, some cardboard and barrel sourness. Some fruit like aspects. Flavor is less old tasting with some light puckering vinegar, loses the fruity character, drying at the end. I dislike the aged character at this point. Otherwise, aight.

Bottle 35 of 72, unclear which batch. Pours a beautiful garnet color with a slightly brownish tinge, similar to Russian River Consecration, and a small tan head. Aroma is deep red and black fruits – blackberry, prune, blueberry, red grape skins – with some bright citrus peel, spiced cider, milk chocolate, and a savory black olive note. Lots of oak, too. Taste is mellow raspberry jam, cola, black currant, light and fruity red wine, faint whiskey, lemon peel, unripe stone fruit, lingering oak. Some peachy tartness but not as sour as I expected. Low carbonation. Consecration again comes to mind although this is lighter and much more drinkable. Very nice.

Bottle pour on the bus in Asheville. Abrasive vinegar. Somewhat funky. Old Sour Patch Kids (in a good way). The taste is similarly angular. Starburst candies and concentrated dirty spoiling peach. Raspberry tart. Light body, active carbonation. Pretty tasty.

RBWG, bus bottle. Another sick sole comp beer. Really tasty. Lots of tartness with a hint of red fruit, cherry definitely sticks out. I love this brewery and almost everything they make. RBSG should def be in Portland this year!
