12 oz can. Pours clear golden orange with a small white head that quickly goes to a thin collar.
The aroma is sweet bready banana malts.
The flavor is sweet sugary malts and bananas with a little grassy bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, I didnít care for it - way too much sweet banana.

Can - hazy gold - mostly diminishing head - nose is very sweet - dense sugar, frosting kind of sweetness - there is also a fair amount of banana and off, dirty phenols - watery texture, despite itís rather strong carbonation - very sweet throughout, with a lot of messy, abrasive spiciness - quite a lot of banana and a bit of clove - tastes more like an imperial hefe, but even as one of those, it sucks - I honestly donít know why I keep trying Upslope beers - I had given up on other breweries for burning me far fewer times (Iím looking at you, Asher) - yea, Iím pretty sure Iím done with Upslope.

Can poured a hazy tarnished gold with a large lasting white head. Aroma of bread, coriander, citrus and light yeast. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread, coriander and yeast with a smooth lingering coriander finish.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The pour is a sparkling clear, golden color with a small, white, fizzy head which is mostly diminishing and leaves minimal lace. The nose is fairly blah with some candi sugar, light vegetable, bready notes, dusty yeast, light orangey esters. The flavor is better with no vegetable notes, still estery, candi sweet, dusty, bready, almost doughy, and a bit of spice emerging. The palate is decent being lively, slightly warming, medium, and creamy. The finish is still sweet with candi sugar, some black pepper, light orange, and a faint herbal note appearing. Actually the beer didnít seem to be as bad as my ratings would imply. But a vegetable note is always a bad start to any beer, and most light Belgians always benefit from some balance to the sweet and yeasty notes but this one had little. My least favorite from this brewery.

Really Uplsope? Really? Hereís the problem....stop doing these íLimited Releaseí XXX-Style ales....see íMexican Style Lagerí, íForeign Style Stoutí, and now this swill. Iím on to you. You are just pissing around trying to find something you can copy that people will like b/c you donít have the chops to do something original. Unclean wheat finish. Off vegetal qualities in the taste. Smells okay.
Really? You try this in the same town as a brewery that puts out White Rascal and this is the best you can do. Lame. I donít even like WR that much. Prefer Celis White if I can get it and Hoegarrden is just fine. Just stop. Youíre embarrassing yourself. And Colorado brewing. Stick to your fine Pale Ale and uh, sure thatíll do IPA, until you can do something original.
Just glad I didnít pay for this. Someone gave it too me. What does that say?

Certainly not the best Belgian Style Pale Ale, but it is very good for itís style and brewing location.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
pours a brownish orange yellow, with small white head. Aroma of yeast, bread, skunk, spices. Flavor tastes like a skunked belgian white, with too much coriander.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Head is initially small, fizzy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (cereal, corn/malt syrup), lightly hoppy (herbs), with notes of diacetyl, canned pears, rotting fruit, cotton candy, fusel alcohol, plastic.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter, unclean.
Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic.
Artificial candy nose with plenty of butter for accent and flaws galore...a near cornucopia of unpleasant odors. So sloppy. Itís not even just that itís un-Belgian, this is just plain icky no matter what you call it. Upslopeís worst canned product yet. As much as Iíd like to root for a "home team", itís almost like this place isnít even trying.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured a dark yellow, little head, lots of yeast sediment. Not much on the nose besides yeast. Pretty pale and yeasty on the first sip. Pretty dry and not much complexity or flavors. A small hint of toasted nuts, but that is really about it... It was just okay. Not their best and surprising because everything else I have tried from them has been pretty spot on.
