Tap @ Colorado Craft Beer Kickoff Week at Falling Rock. Pours a fairly clear, golden appearance with an off white head. Somewhat herbal, a touch fruity, lemon, belgian yeasty aroma. Flavor is pretty sweet with some citrusy fruit qualities and some sweet malts but nothing too exciting.

12oz can pours with a clear gold body that supports a white head. The aroma is all clove, coriander and Belgian yeasty spices rimmed with malt and fruity ester sweetness. The taste starts with sweet malts, a brief flash of maybe citrus hops and then heading into firm notes of Belgian yeasty spices and cloves and coriander. For me this is far too Belgian and not enough Pale Ale going on here.

Can. Head is initially small, fizzy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (cereal, corn/malt syrup), lightly hoppy (herbs), with notes of diacetyl, canned pears, rotting fruit, cotton candy, fusel alcohol, plastic. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Artificial candy nose with plenty of butter for accent and flaws galore...a near cornucopia of unpleasant odors. So sloppy. Itís not even just that itís un-Belgian, this is just plain icky no matter what you call it. Upslopeís worst canned product yet. As much as Iíd like to root for a "home team", itís almost like this place isnít even trying.
