Tap at Rackhouse. Black as night with no lasting head. Strong aroma of dark cocoa, pen ink, and dark roast coffee. Taste is much better. Sweet dark chocolate notes, oak, dark roast coffee, char, black licorice and some dark boozy esters. Very complex and fun to drink, just a little boozy and thick.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at brewery. Very dark brown appearance with a creamy tan head. Sweet whiskey (aged in Stranahan’s whiskey barrels) in the nose with roasted malts. Stranahan’s whiskey is very sweet and smooth so it’s creates a very smooth body with a delicious roasted malt flavor in the background. Great beer.
