Welcome the newest addition to our year round lineup–Upslope Imperial India Pale Ale. Packaged exclusively in Ball Corporation’s 19.2 oz Royal Pint can, this assertively hopped 10% ABV Imperial IPA captures a bright orange color with a medium body. Each barrel is brewed using six pounds of a unique blend of hops to impart subtle flavors of pineapple and melon to the central hop notes of citrus and pine.

Poured out of a giant can, it is lovely golden color. Great hoppy aroma. Tasty, boozy, resiny flavor.

Coppery golden color with a smallish white head. Taste is quite sweet, some caramel, with a some tropical fruit. Hops are there, but take a back seat to sweetness. Pine resin and citrus rind are the hops. A really good IIPA, but a bit too sweet for tastes.

Can-Pours bright deep orange hue with a small soapy white head and decent lacing. Nose is oxidized sweet hops. Slightly metallic. Light honeysuckle and flowers however the metallic notes sort of distort the nose. Flavors are a bit better-lots of sweet tropical hops, light alcohol and the flowery notes as well. The can says best by 9/11/15 so its within freshness range however, this one suffers from metallic oxidization. WOuld like to try this again on tap or fresh can. VERY long juicy citric finish lots of pinneaple, passionfruit and tangerine.

Hazy orange body with a thin white head and good lacing. First thing I noticed in the aroma was not the expected hop bomb, but tropical fruits such as pineapple. That did give way to grapefruit hops as it warmed. Big grapefruit and piney hop flavor right off the bat, but I detected those pineapple flavors again mixed with honey of all things. Very pleasantly suprised with this one. I was expecting just another hop over load, but the fruity flavors were nice.

Slightly cloudy amber pour, decent off white head. Nose was woody hops. Bitter. Middle was medium roasted malt, caramel, earth, bark. Finish was steady, but not overpowering bitterness. Alcohol was almost nowhere to be tasted. This is a dangerous beer!

Pint can. Sweet tropical fruit and grapefruit citrus aroma with some pine hop dankness. Pours golden colored with one finger of off-white head with good retention and some lacing. Starts with nice tropical fruit and grapefruit citrus flavors. Finishes dry but surprisingly smooth for an imperial IPA with some pine hop bitterness as well as grapefruit acidity coating the palate. Very drinkable and refreshing IPA.

Pours a nice golden color with a small white head the fades quickly. Nice caramel malty flavor, slightly bitter on the backside.

20 oz can split 3 ways. Pours a clear bright golden color with a medium plus sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have nice citrus and resiny hops, caramel, toasted malts, moderate bitterness, good body, some tropical fruit, alcohol heat creeps in, this definitely fits in the mold of an imperial Ipa.

Can pour dark gold with orange hue and moderate white head. Nose dank hop, over ripe tropical fruit, resin, sweet malt. Taste moderate strong bitter up front, then some papaya hop. Mid palate heat from alcohol and bitter continues.

Can at James’ 10k tasting. Pours a mostly clear amber with a thin white head. Soft musk and citrus on the nose. Medium bodied, spicy with some bright citrus and malt. Sweet on the finish.

Big cans at the June 2015 trailer park ’ fuck, the Red River’s flooding us out ’ sand bagging and beer tasting extravaganza. Glowing rusty amber color with ivory head. Citrusy, floral, tropical fruit aromas. Smooth medium body. Big citrusy, tropical fruit, tangy alcohol flavors in a lightly sweet pale malt base brew---drying finish____good.
