Can from supermarket. Amber color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, tropical fruits, caramel, nuts and grass. Surprisingly smooth body with hops and caramel malts. Sweet finish with caramel and pine. Very nice, and definitely different IPA.

Poured from can into snifter, coppery color with healthy head, strong hoppy aroma. Tastes great, hidden ABV, pleasantly surprised by this one. Glad I got a 6 pack.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Amber color out of the bottle with a thin slick of beige head. Sweet fruity nose. Caramel and hop resin candy flavors. Some tropical fruit and red grapefruit juice over a strong malty backbone. Not your typical west coast IPA, but quite nice.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz can. Pours a deep copper color and clear with an off-white head. Interesting hop aroma, sweet caramel malts, spruce and spices. Flavor is a variety of sweet malts with zesty hops. Fairly sweet and light bitterness for the style. Not bad and easy to drink.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy carmel orange. Earthy aroma with some mild piney notes present. Caramel malty flavor, toasted nut flavor is present, not a lot of fwd hops present. Hops kick in at the finish and a bitter. Not really like the IPA’s out in Colorado or West Coast style. More malty and bitter than floral and citrusy. Probably a English rendition of the IPA more-so than the American takes on it. That said, it’s a good drinkable IPA. Reminds me of the early IPA’s I used to have before the West Coast style took hold.

Going into this, I noticed Patagonian Hops. This IPA is not as hoppy as other IPAs, however, this is a quite balanced beer. Dark orange color, nice lacing, malty, with a crisp hop finish. Very good beer!
