Poured from can into snifter, coppery color with healthy head, strong hoppy aroma. Tastes great, hidden ABV, pleasantly surprised by this one. Glad I got a 6 pack. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

airrick2003 (481) - Louisiana, USA - SEP 18, 2014
Appearance: very nice deep amber color, pours with a very large and dense light tan head, pretty clear Aroma: spicy, strong caramel malt, grass, hints of chocolate even, Taste: bitter upfront, has a strong malt backbone to it as well, hints of alcohol, picking up the subtle chocolate again, Palate: soft carbonation, medium to heavier mouthfeel, light bitter aftertaste Overall: Iím pleasantly surprised by this beer, very well balanced, has nice aroma, maltiness, bitterness, and even head

Herbal/floral, citrus/peachy fruity hops aroma. Tangerine/grapefruit and floral hop flavor. Light malt flavor: Bread crust, caramel, sweet. Substantial bittier aftertaste. Not super hoppy--but good.

Another mild beer from Upslope. It appears that the specialize in producing beers with a slightly higher amount of alcohol and they cover it up using a variety of different ingredients. The dominant ingredient takes the beer name. Alcohol covered with hops. Not too much hops though.

DocJitsu (953) - Florida, USA - AUG 16, 2014
Pours a mostly clear classic golden color with a short, white head. Flat lager aroma with not much expression of a hop character. Medium bodied and somewhat crisp. A wheaty flavor comes through first, with some bitter hop following. That flat lager is unfortunately pervasive.

Pailhead (4813) - Brownstown, Michigan, USA - AUG 15, 2014
Can: The aroma consists of moderate caramel and toffee with lighter fruit and a touch of floral hops. It pours a transparent amber with a large orange tinted off-white head that has great retention and leaves behind a lot of soapy lacing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a lot of caramel and toffee along with some light fruit. The finish floral hops, a touch of cardboard, and mint. Itís light-medium bodied with mild carbonation and a slightly sticky mouthfeel. Overall, this is not at all that I want in an IPA and itís not very good even on the hedonistic scale.

Smell is weak for an IPA but you get sweet fruit. Appearance is dark amber. Taste is semi sweet with a light malt backing. Finishes with slight alcohol and very little hop bitterness

Strong leafy ipa aroma that is amazing! Dark amber pour. Strong hops through and through with caramel and subtle citrus

Iím not sure why everybody is so hard on this beer. Its really not that bad. A simple foamy head. Golden hue. The hops are present but not overpowering. A fresh clean beer without the tin wash down. Not gonna rock your world but not bad if you hide a few in the tackle box for fishing. A minimal yes to this beer.

Pours reddish orange and slightly hazy. Smell is subdued with typical hop aromas of nondescript floral and fruity notes. Nice but subtle. Taste is more malt driven than most IPAs by quite a bit. Very light bitterness and more malty than Iíd like. Kind of a grainy cereal honey sweetness that peeks through. Like a pale ale with higher alcohol.
