From a can, not bad. There is something unique about this taste from most IPAs but it would be way down my rankings of Colorado IPAs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I was in love with Dales Pale Ale and Goose Island IPA until I discovered Upslope! Love the taste my only problem with it is the high ABV. I love my beer and after three of these Im done for the night.

Can from Grease Monkey. Light pour with a white head. Aroma is sweet grain, pine sap, and a little citrus. Taste is bitter, slight citrus, sweet grain, and more caramel.

Neat mahogany reddish color, small white head. Honey, super light pine resin, floral notes. Decent amount of bitterness, some good sweetness. Very oily, medium body, some bit of carbonation. Quite acidic. Fine.

Solid IPA. Not earth-shattering but well made and packs enough punch to avoid generic. Granted I just drove for 14 hours and it's the first beer I'm drinking in my hotel room so I'm biased. Can in Fruita, CO. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted on 5/24/12 from a can. Pours crystal clear amber with an average off-white head that leaves thin lace. The nose is nicely balanced bread malt and floral citrus hops. The flavor is very nicely balanced floral and lightly bitter hops with light bread malt. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long balanced bitter hops finish.

355ml can from AshtonMcCobb - cheers Ash! Pours a beautiful deep amber red, thin beige head that stays around. Aromas of pine, resin, caramel. Taste is light bitter, good balance, grapefruit notes, but good malt backbone. Resinous in the mouth, toffee at the end. Good stuff.

Can thanks to cthomas2390. Appearance - beautiful dark red and clear. Youd swear the re was fruit in there. Attractive if then head. Nose - earth, resin and gentle toffee. Taste - slight grapefruit tang in amongst the caramel and earthiness Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy and resin texture and a long dry finish. Overall - lovely balanced beer.

[Can] Darker shade of amber. A soapy white head lingers. Aromas of resinous pine and bitter herbs. Flavors of orange peel, pine sap, grapefruit mix with a caramel malt backbone. Lingering bitterness in the finish is pleasant. Gassy carbonation. Not bad.

12 oz. can from the Pour House. Appearance: 2 fingers tan head, copper amber color, clear, good lacing. Aroma: caramel, pineapple, grassy hops, and light pine. Palate: medium body, average-soft carbonation, bitter finish, sticky texture. Taste: sweet caramel into light pineapple and growing grassy bitterness, finishing with some pine and very bitter. Overall, too much bitter, sweetness is overclassed, palate is off for me too. Nothing amazing.
