12 oz. can into a large pilsner. Best by 09/152015. A: Clear deep brass with little head or retention. Patchy lacing. S: Pale malt scent much like a pilsner. Light floral hop note T: Following the nose, pale cracker malts and bitter crisp hops combine in nice balance to make a good clean taste. Nothing extraordinary but nicely done even if more pilsner-like than pale ale. A bit more ale flavor as it warms. M: Thin for the strength and not terribly highly carbonated. Average. O: Doesn’t strike me as much like any pale ale I know but a good tasting brew nonetheless. Worth a try if you’re a pilsner fan seeking to get into pale ales.

Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – The beer is served a pale golden color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades relatively quickly to leave a good sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer is strongest of a bready smell mixed with a good showing of a citrus grapefruit hop and a little bit of a caramel. Along with these smells comes some lighter notes of a pine and a little bit of a grassy smell. Taste – The taste begins with a bready flavor mixed with a decent sum of caramel and a little bit of a grainy taste. As the taste advances a lighter grain and a little bit of hay and grass comes to the tongue. A slight increase in tropical fruit and a little bit of more caramel comes to the tongue as the taste advances. The hops remain relatively light but does change a bit as the taste moves on with a little bit of grass and more citrus coming to the tongue. In the end, a somewhat lightly hopped and sweeter pale taste is left to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side with a carbonation level that is on the average as well. For the style and the flavor profile the feel is rather nice and makes for a rather nice drinking brew overall. Overall – A little sweet and a little under hopped for a pale, but very flavorful none the less. Overall a decent brew and one to at least give one try to.

Can. Deep golden with small head. Very genetic pale ale. Thin body with light caramel malt. Indistinct hops with moderate bitterness. Not bad, but not good either.

12oz can pours with a clear pure gold body that supports a thin dirty white head. The modest aroma offers up a blend of biscuit malts and a mineral sort of note along with vague mild hoppiness. The taste delivers pine and floral bitter hops as well as biscuit maltiness. To midway it picks up more bitter hops that are largely spicy and kind of lime like noble hoppiness. Decent classic Pale and the taste is growing on me.

Clear yellow gold, light white head. Light pine resin, maybe some corn grain, not terribly strong nose. Quite bitter, very little sweetness. Oily, medium body, fairly acidic, not much in the way of carbonation. Longish finish. Fine.

[Can] Bright golden color with a fizzy head on top. Nose is of biscuit, floral hops and some grass. Flavors of grains, caramel, floral hops and a dry acrid bitterness in the finish. Gassy carbonation. Thin.

12 oz. can from The Pour House. Appearance: 3 finger white head, pale straw, clear, good lacing. Aroma: floral, caramel, light citrus, leaves. Palate: light body, bitter finish, average carbonation. Taste: sweet caramel and maltiness, into pine and floral bitter hops, light pils finish. Overall, nothing special, balance is a bit off, and finish is off.

Pretty clean, but overly simplistic and overly sweet pale ale - fruity, citric hop character, but not enough bitterness to balance out the high.sweetness - finish of candied orange - meh.
