Standard Pale Ale malt and citrus notes golden in color. White head which dissipates quickly. Appearance and nose belies the depth of the beer. wet and bitter finish without complex hop depth or malt sweetness.

Can pours a pale gold with a medium white head, fades quickly. Floral hoppy aroma. Taste is crisp and thin, watery up front and a hoppy finish. Hints of citrus.

sonnycheeba (1904) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - FEB 21, 2013
Can. Pours clear gold with average, fizzy white head; decent retention and spare lacing. Aroma is biscuit and cereal malts, grassy and floral hops, pears, light corn, and some butter notes. Flavor is some dry bready, malts initially, but is quickly dominated by heavy grassy and citrus hops (high bitterness) with some grapefruit esters and hay notes; dry, bitter finish. Light/medium body and low carbonation. For a pale ale, just didn’t seem to have enough malt flavor to balance the heavy bitterness.

Pours a medium straw with decent, lasting head. Lemon on the nose. Taste is dominated by carbonation and hop bitterness. Dry finish, though the bitterness does stick around.

One finger of head on a medium straw colored body. Smell is a subtle grapefruit and pine. It’s nice. Great flavor of lemon, grapefruit and mild malt. Fizzy texture in the best way. Moderate carbonation and medium body. The texture and flavor combine well together and make it a beer to find and try.

Can on a recent trip to Boulder. It’s a very middle of the road pale ale. Nothing wrong with it really, but nothing that especially stands out either.
