heemer77 (3781), Savannah, Missouri, USA Oct 7, 2008 Tap at the brewpib. The body was cloudy dark gold with a white head. The aroma was lemon bread and not much else to mention. The taste was bananas and cloves with some bready notes. Decent. Gregis (923), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Jun 7, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy straw with a quickly dissipating white head that leaves patchy lace in its wake. There’s not a lot going on with the aroma. It is essentially a faint, dull and slightly sour wheat. That’s about it. Light-bodied and thin with a soft, wheaty mouthfeel and a slightly sour finish. The flavor follows the nose and leaves you wishing there was something more to it. This one is pretty uninspired even for an American wheat. Oxymoron (104), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Mar 6, 2008 Came with a lemon passanger. Slight off yellow color with some cloudiness but mostly clear. The head retention and lace were limited and didn’t last through the whole tasting. The smell was lacking, not much of anything.
The taste was light for a wheat. A stronger carbonation gives the beer a zing which kind of kills the wheat flavor but heightens the fruit citrus flavor. A stronger lemon hint is present but the beer overall is light in taste. Some base malts are detectible, which I would have rather tasted more wheat but manageable. A moderate malt backing with very little spice. Overall not much to it. pinkzambia (889), Boise, Idaho, USA Oct 10, 2007 Tap @ brewpub: Flat gold color which you can almost see through. It has a small white head. The feel is thick the taste is sweet. It isn’t overly yeasty, but the aftertaste is a bit metallic. One of their better beers. DJMonarch (4091), Northwich, Cheshire, England Mar 15, 2006 Barrel Draught at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 01/10/2005
Golden coloured with a cloudy appearance. Crisp on the palate with a slightly dry finish.
