Commercial Description:
Smooth and malty, Downtown Brown is a forward tasting beer for anyone who enjoys brown ales. It has a creamy maltiness with flavors of sweet caramel and mild hops.

(Draught) Pours a clear brown color with a small off-white head. Mild sweet malt aroma. KInd of watery. Not bad, but not nothing exciting either. Upstream needs to really work on adding more flavor and complexity to their beers.

Draught: The beer pours a clear brown color. It has an off-white head that doesn't last long and laces down the side of the glass just a little. There is a very mild aroma to it. Some malt sweetness to the nose. The taste is medium-light maltiness, with a hint of hops. Slightly sweet. Somewhat boring.

Not rich or warming enough for a good brown; the flavor is perhaps not sophisticated enough for this fun style of beer.
