Sledge Jr (2720), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jan 28, 2006 On tap at the brewpub (Old Market location). Reddish copper in color with a vacant white head. In a warm taster glass, a few milliliters swirled around produce evidence of the slight off-flavor that most Upstream beers have due to contaminated lines or something. When you drink out of an ice-cold pint glass of this, you don’t notice it as much. Surprisingly, this beer has a good malty body. An unusual tartness can be tasted as well as a little bit of a metallic tinge. I get a slight bit of chocolate out of it. If you swirl the pint glass, no matter how hard you try, you cannot produce a head to this beer. Everyone at the table agreed that the bargain happy hour prices were appropriate for this, another marginal Upstream product.
