Hazy gold. Very little head. The aroma starts off with honeydew fruitiness followed up by a bit of honey and a touch of gingerbread. The flavor is actually VERY meadlike. I don’t know if they’re putting honey in this or what, but that’s more braggot than tripel. A bit hot in the finish.

Sampled on 7/15/06 at the RBSG ’06 Grand Tasting courtesy of Sledge Jr: Pours a clear golden with a thin ring of wispy white head. Aroma has nice, sweet biscuity maltiness and authentic Belgian yeasty and floral complexity. Body starts with a viscous sweet bready maltiness and smooth yeasty notes toward a slightly drier warming finish. A nice tripel.

An unclear dark yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with quite a lot of fruit - especially peaches, but also light notes of wheat. The flavor is sweet fruity, both peaches and oranges, combined with notes of honey, and an alcohol burns that warms the mouth.

RBSG 2006 - DC Grand Tasting Lineup Gold yellow, light head and lacing. Nose of sweet hop and pilsner malt. Moderate tangy yeast and lime. The flavor is tart, nice and hoppy/yeast. High alcohol and a dusty malty tail. Nice finish, good triple.

RBSG 2006 grand tasting. One of the bottles I brought for the ratebeer summer gathering. Thanks to Peter at Upstream for the great donation. Bottle numbers 155 and 345 of 350. the aroma is strongly of bubble gum. a brilliant honey flavor that contributes significant sweetness to the beer. serious heat with a warming alcohol sensation throughout the palate.
