aracauna (2238), Georgia, USA Jul 15, 2006 Hazy gold. Very little head. The aroma starts off with honeydew fruitiness followed up by a bit of honey and a touch of gingerbread. The flavor is actually VERY meadlike. I don’t know if they’re putting honey in this or what, but that’s more braggot than tripel. A bit hot in the finish.

CaptainCougar (4624), Rockville, Maryland, USA Mar 11, 2007 Sampled on 7/15/06 at the RBSG ’06 Grand Tasting courtesy of Sledge Jr: Pours a clear golden with a thin ring of wispy white head. Aroma has nice, sweet biscuity maltiness and authentic Belgian yeasty and floral complexity. Body starts with a viscous sweet bready maltiness and smooth yeasty notes toward a slightly drier warming finish. A nice tripel. Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 2, 2006 An unclear dark yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with quite a lot of fruit - especially peaches, but also light notes of wheat. The flavor is sweet fruity, both peaches and oranges, combined with notes of honey, and an alcohol burns that warms the mouth.
