Sampled at Lupulin Carnival. Dark brown and opaque. So much wood in this. Hops are in there but are burried. Earth and caramel. Intetesting and quote easy to drink.

Nutty deep chocalotey notes and malt . Medium hop. Fairly thick and full body. Aroma Ok. Honestly left a burnt tasting aftertaste, like some Starbucks coffee.

On tap. Pours brown with tan head. Aroma is roasty, spices, and bread. Some chocolate in the taste and spices. Kind of tasteless

Pours an opaque dark brown. Nose is dark roasted malt. Taste is sweet smooth coffeeish roasted malt, baker’s chocolate and a little bitterness brought on by the roasting of the malt. Really nice rendition of the classic porter style.

Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is a decent roasted malt with a little cocoa powder. Flavor is pretty much the same. Decent roasted malt with some bitterness and a bit of chocolate at the end. Mouth feel is not overly heavy or thick but leaves enough to chew on. A solid porter.

Decent beer, but the nose promises more than the taste delivers. Rich nutty aroma and mahogany color, with sharp fore tongue and surprisingly little sweetness, given the nose. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap @ Urban Chestnut. Pours a hazy deep brown appearance with a light brown head. Very roasty, light smoky, burnt malty, nutty aroma. Bitter herbal, burnt malty, charred, caramel flavor. Also got a note of KFC extra crispy chicken skin.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2014 January 13, 2013 on tap at brewpub. Dark brown pour with head and lacing. Roasted malt, coffee and maybe some dark chocolate. Taste was consistent though somewhat mild and a bit thin.
