COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A beer we are describing as a ‘Bavarian IPA’. Brewed and dry-hopped with a variety of Hallertau ‘hopfen’… instead of the usual and more citric hop varieties of most American IPA’s… gives this beer a decidedly German twist ABV- 6.2%, IBU’s- 55, OG – 14.5 Plato

Draft to taster. Looks good; a hazy lighter golden orange with white head that steadily dissipats into lacing. Smells of fruity hops; some mango and tangerine. Tastes like it smells, but less robust, with a medium-bodied mouthfeel. A bit of bittersweetness from the malt. Not bad.

Euro2-Flasche: Golden, cloudy, big and stable rocky off-white head; spicy Saazy (even though the hops come from the Hallertau) nose, traces of Wood and vanilla and yeast in the Background; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, almost medium bodied, a bit fizzy; dryish lingering Hallertau finish, yeast still detectable. A fine brew...

From notes. Tasted on 6/5/13 on draft at the brewpub during a baseball trip with Adam and Taylor. Pours hazy golden orange with an average white head that leaves thin, but sticky lace. The nose is earthy caramel bread with primarily spicy hops underlying. The flavor displays the hops a little more aggressively than I expected given the nose with the same earthy caramel bread. The body is just above light with average carbonation and a medium spicy hops finish.

bottle from bierpost. Amber-golden with a creamy off-white head and a good hop aroma. Medium-bodied, malty base with grassy-citrusy hops. Not as packed with tropcial fruit as typical IPAs this one comes with German hops, which also deliver a good show here. All in all, a very enjoyable beer.

Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of lemon, oak, vanilla, hints of grass, slight yeast, bread in there, some orange. Taste is a mix of lemongrass, some bread, yeast, soapy and spicy notes, finishing bitter, dry. Pretty nice.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein milchig trübes goldenes Bier mit schöner weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr hopfig, fruchtig, frisch, Citrus. Geschmack hopfig bitter, frischer Hopfen, grasig, Citrus, erfrischend, lecker!

(bottle) Cloudy, orange-golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Herbal-spicy hoppy aroma with a whiff of grass and spruce, accompanied by mildly honey-ish malty notes. Moderately bitter and delicately sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with an almost creamy carbonation. Soft and mildly grainy malty base with a good dash of herbal and slightly grassy hops, lingering into the lasting bitter hoppy finish. Might be odd for the typical IPA devotees, tastes like a dry-hopped pale Bock, also Witzgall Landbier from Franconia comes to my mind. 25.VIII.14
