COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A beer we are describing as a ‘Bavarian IPA’. Brewed and dry-hopped with a variety of Hallertau ‘hopfen’… instead of the usual and more citric hop varieties of most American IPA’s… gives this beer a decidedly German twist ABV- 6.2%, IBU’s- 55, OG – 14.5 Plato

Draft - pours a hazy golden with sizable head. Citrus and spice on the nose - very well balanced with a great finish. Excellent beer!

On tap at Urban Chestnut on Jan 11th. Pours a cloudy golden color with white head. Citrus, yeasty, wheat, some hoppiness in the flavor. Very interesting beer and one of the better beers that I sampled at Urban Chestnut.

Tap @ Urban Chestnut. Pours a milky yellow brownish yellow appearance with a white head. Big juicy pineapple, herbal, a bit woody aroma. Bright tropical fruity hoppy, fairly dry, kind of chewy, herbal flavor. Pretty cool.

Poured from a growler. Crisp white head, pours a cloudy golden color. Nice balance of malts and hops.

Beautiful copper colour. My favorite IPA so far. Usually prefer wheat beers and belgians - this corrects my aversion to IPAs due to many being hopped for the sole purpose of raising IBUs. Wonderful combination of malt and measured bitterness. Absolutely wonderful.

January 8, 2013 on tap at brewpub. Cloudy yellow with head and lacing. Spice and citrus in aroma that made you think hefeweizen, but taste had the bitter finish of an ipa. Interesting for sure.

Draft at Urban Chestnut. Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Nose is spicy and earthy, light grass notes & pilsner malt. On tasting, reminds me of an unfiltered pilsner. Grassy hops, moderately high bitterness, some sweetness in terms of the malt. Clean overall, earthy finish. Really cool beer.

Draft at urban, pours hazy gold with white head. Aroma is great, really fresh and floral, spicy notes. Flavors are great, good floral and citrus with spicy balance, phenolic finish. Gorgeous beer!

A German IPA? Interesting. Growler shared by Chris (spycow). Served in a New Glarus tasting glass. A: Pours a clear yellow color with a whispy white head forming on the pour. It recedes to a thick collar. Very reminiscent of a lager. S: Grassy hops with a definite German pilsner yeast characteristic that is making this border on the lager side of things. There is a still a nice malty sweetness there. T: The taste follows the nose really closely. Grassy hops with that pilsner yeast like quality. There is a touch more fruitiness in than the nose which brings back the IPA qualities of this beer. Nice sweet bread malts as well. M: Light and crisp with a nice refreshing finish. Very lager-like. O: This was an on hybrid type beer. It was definitely different with the German pilsner like qualities to it. Would definitely have again. Serving type: growler Reviewed on: 06-10-2012

Light yellow and clear. Light mild nose. Flavors are mild and a bit soapy.
