4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Beautiful copper colour. My favorite IPA so far. Usually prefer wheat beers and belgians - this corrects my aversion to IPAs due to many being hopped for the sole purpose of raising IBUs. Wonderful combination of malt and measured bitterness. Absolutely wonderful.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of lemon, oak, vanilla, hints of grass, slight yeast, bread in there, some orange. Taste is a mix of lemongrass, some bread, yeast, soapy and spicy notes, finishing bitter, dry. Pretty nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
(bottle) Cloudy, orange-golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Herbal-spicy hoppy aroma with a whiff of grass and spruce, accompanied by mildly honey-ish malty notes. Moderately bitter and delicately sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with an almost creamy carbonation. Soft and mildly grainy malty base with a good dash of herbal and slightly grassy hops, lingering into the lasting bitter hoppy finish. Might be odd for the typical IPA devotees, tastes like a dry-hopped pale Bock, also Witzgall Landbier from Franconia comes to my mind. 25.VIII.14

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance is a cloudy golden with a frothy white foam cap. Aroma is different from your typical IPA, leaning more floral, herbal, and spicy. Taste is bready malt that gives way to an earthy, grassy, and spicy hop flavor. Bitterness is crisp but not overpowering. Mouthfeel is light to medium with a crisp, moderate to high carbonation. Finishes very dry with a resinous feeling on the tongue and a lingering bitterness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle. Hazy, yellow-ish orangey, golden colour with average to huge, thick, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma with notes of lemon and orange receives support by grassy, peppery-spicy hop notes from the Hallertauer. Taste is moderately bitter hoppy, slightly sweet, juicy, fruity basis with notes of pineapple, orange, lemon, grassy, peppery-spicy hoppy overtones. It doesn’t go without some irony to sit here in Germany, drooling over any supposably flavourful US IPA reachable in order to escape from the boring German pabulum, finding oneself drinking one with "decidedly German twist". But this doesn’t mean being reverberated into Sisyphean circumstances: what we’ve got here is a nice exemplar that shows the splendid usage of a putative second order hop variety adding some well matching spiciness.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
16.9 oz bottle poured into a stemmed Belgian tulip glass. The aromas are very bright tropical, citrus, grass, and pine notes. It pours a murky orange color with a white soapy head that retains well and leaves a good amount of lace. It’s a touch more sweet than bitter, but both are medium-high levels. The oily texture has a soft, creamy carbonation and a full body. It finishes with a dry, tropical, citrus, pine, and grass note. Some pineapple distinctly stands out. It’s a very complex, yet mellow aftertaste that has a pleasant, mellow aftertaste to go with it.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Fairly cloudy apricot-colored pour with a massive sudsy head. Looks a lot like a wheat beer in terms of color, clarity and head size. Aromas are lightly spicy with a touch of lemon and honey. Flavor is very interesting and much better than my nose led me to believe. An explosion of lemon and bitter orange dominate the whole thing. Deep underneath the hops blast I can pick up a bit of a grainy texture... almost dusty, but the hops presence washes it away fairly quickly.

On tap @ Urban Chestnut. Hazed golden pour with a white head. Lemon, orange peel, and lots of fresh flowers. A good bready malt base. Flavor has a lot of bread and cracker malt. Lots of orange peel, hints of lemon, and some pine. A strong floral character, which is quite nice.
