2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap at Urban Chestnut on Jan 11th. Pours a hazy orangish brown color with white head. Malty, candi sugar, toilet bowl cleaner flavors. Hmmm, this does not taste like a dubbel. Not very good.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Tap @ Urban Chestnut. Pours a hazy red/orange appearance with an off white head. Fucking weird off note in the aroma and slightly in the flavor which my best guess was sulfur. Metallic, blood orange, old citrus fruity, sweet flavor. Really hard for me to drink or even smell.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
January 8, 2013 on tap at brewpub. Orangish brown pour wih head and nice lacing. Fruity, spice and yeast in aroma and taste. Smooth and creamy palate. I am not a huge dubbel fan but this was speaking my language.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Urban Chestnut brewpub. Hazed copper/amber with a thin tan crown. Aroma is nice and spicy with toasted malts, dark fruits, yeast and hot dogs. Taste of dark fruit, noble hops, yeast, toasted malt and very light sugar. Not as sweet as most dubbels I’ve had but passable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour is a dark brown with a average white head. Aroma is all candi sugar at first then comes a little spice. Flavor is some brown sugar, Belgain yeast and spice. A little fruityness is left on the tounge after the swallow. Decent dubbel.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted 3/31/11. Full tulip from the Brewpub. Pours hazy with a ruby bronze hue. Layer of lacing bone white head. Aromas of red berries and spices. Nice Belgian candy sugar yeast aroma. Nice nose! Very nice with a full body. A ton of fruit in the palate and mildly spiced. Good sweet character. There are a lot of both red and dark berry flavors. Sweet and tart with a subtle tangy note. Nice complexity in the palate! Solid brew!
