3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at GTMW 2013 - Pours hazy yellow with a white ring of head. Nose is lightly sour and wheaty, with a touch of vinegar and some tropical fruit. Taste is real smooth, with light sour wheat and a bit of tartness. Smooth and well carbonated.

Pretty sour and tart at first but no lasting aftertaste. Not bitter at all. Hazy. Pretty good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Handle Bar. A tellowish beer that is hazy. Some white foam. This is a tart beer which is what a Berliner aweiss should be. Yeast, lemon, tart apples, more complex fruits. At times it is a little funky and at yomes it is a cider. It is always tart. Good, too.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at the brewery, pours a pale cloudy yellow with a bubbly white head, the aroma is a little funky on the front side of it with some yeast and fruit as well, the flavor has a good tart front end with a clean finish, really nice mouthfeel through out the entire drink, tart and refreshing at the same time.

Had on draft at brewery. Poured a hazy yellow with small head and decent lacing. Aroma was slightly tart with wheat and hint of lemon. Light tartness in taste with a wheat tang and a little graininess. Mouthfeel was smooth and light bodied with a crisp carbonation. Finished semi dry. Was offered flavorings at tasting room but glad I declined. This beer was refreshing and quaffable and stood up just fine on its own. Would love to have this as a summer session beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Urban Chestnut. Pours a hazed straw with a thin head that vanishes. Nose is lactic acid and clean. Loads of wheat. All lactic with not much else going on. On tasting, seems a bit different from a classic Berliner. clean lactic acid, light body. Almost gose like without the salt. Very wheaty but could use a touch more acid.Nice.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours lightly hazy pale yellow with a small white head. The aroma has smooth wheat, acidic tartness, lemon and far more of a smooth malt character than expected. It has a medium / light body that starts smooth and ends crisp with micro carbonation. The flavor is much sharper than the aroma with lemony tartness and a sharper wheat flavor. The finish has some spiciness and more pronounced tartness. Very clean and crisp. Nice take on the style.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(tap at tasting room - no syrup) slightly hazy yellow with white head. Tart aroma. Flavor is wheat malt with the sour tartness you’d expect from a Berliner Weisse. Refreshing for a hot summer day. Will try it with the syrup next time.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tasted at the St. Louis Brewers Guild Heritage Fest 2013 in a sampler glass. It poured a hazy yellow colour with thin but persistent white foam, a little lace. 100% true to style Berliner Weiss. Super light body, almost no residual sweetness, crisp, grainy, acidic, tart, sour, yogurty. I’ve been waiting a couple years for them to brew Berliner Weiss again, and I was thrilled to discover it lived up to all its hype. Absolutely delicious. My festival favourite for sure.
