Tap at the brewery, pours a clear dark brown with a red hue and an off white head, the aroma has touches of both banana and yeast with some spices mixed in, the flavor is of heavy sweet malt and caramel on the front end with some banana and fruit in the finish, nice smooth mouthfeel, good stuff.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
I had this at Global Brew. It pours a brownish red with a decent head. The taste is lighter than I expected. Pretty good. I would drink this again.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Urban Chestnut. Pours a deep mahogany. Nutty with some toast and roast on the nose, cocoa. Quite clean. Yeast is subdued, low banana and clove. On tasting, nice and dry, not overly sweet. Clean and very nice, if not too complex. More cocoa and nutty notes as well. Solid.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy chestnut brown with a finger-thick off-white head. Aroma of wheat, bananas, nuts, toasted malts, brown sugar, and light root beer. Flavor of banana, caramel and toasted malts, brown sugar, tea, nuts, and lemon. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, toasty mouthfeel that coats the palate. Really solid weizenbock and absolutely hit the spot in the middle of my ride home yesterday.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours hazy chestnut brown with a good sized light tan head. The aroma has smooth toasty wheat malt, nuttiness, candied banana, light cloves and hints of cotton candy. Medium body that’s a bit light for the style and semi-soft carbonation. The flavor starts off with toasty malt, some lemon zestiness (more citrus than expected), none of the nuttiness from the nose, a syrupy sweetness and and more of a sharpness than expected. There is a bit of a cinnamon/clove spice that hits on the finish. It’s not as rich as most of the style, although easily as sweet, and has an odd citrusy sharpness too it. Quite good, but hoped for it to be a bit closer to some of my favorites.
