3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ Urban Chestnut. Opaque mahogany pour with a khaki head. Cola, tart dark fruits, and big time dates. A lot of raisin and plum. Quite sweet on the palate, but also some tart dark fruits such as raisin and plum. A nice black cherry note, lots of caramel, cola, and chocolate. A little bit bitter on the finish. A little disappointing.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Taster on tap at the brewery during RBSG. Hazy amber orange brown color. Thin off-white head. Loose lace. Good banana, fermented musty brown banana, light spice. Smooth, kinda soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Moderate sweet, moderate bitter taste. Solid, flavorful, smooth weizenbock.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap @ brewery during RBSG 2014 Meet and Greet: Brownish caramel hue with a fading head but good lace. The aroma has the expected banana, clove, roast and toffee esters as well as a touch of grainy and husky malt notes. The taste seems a tad dumbed down. I expect a more forceful experience from my weizenbocks but this one seems clean but short. Just a very faint darker fruit component from by ale fermentation. There is also a "tinny" undertone that was weird and out of place. Meh... disappointing I must say.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft. Darker pour, not very heavey for a weizenbock, definite caramel and metallic notes.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
This is a cloudy orange beer with a thick head of mixed bubbles. It has a big and very rich banana nose. it is sweet and thick with maybe a bit too much earthy bitterness for the style as it clashes w/ the fruity flavor. It’s a bit on the heavy side to be drinkable and doesn’t really justify its higher gravity w/ more flavor.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft. Moderate clove and melanoidins in the nose. Pour is a dark brown with off white head. Tate is vanilla and some toast. Overall ok but seems to be lacking complexity and maltiness.
