3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Global Brew. I got the end of the keg. This was hazed and darker golden. A big fluffy head that might have been the result of blowing the keg. I both smelled and tasted the hop which was quite different. Dankness, fruit that tended to move around but were mostly tropical and passion. A bigger yeast effect that, again, was likely because of the bottom of the keg. Pale malts. A fun beer because the hop was so different.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap. Pours a slightly cloudy orange color with pillowy white head. Aroma is dank pot, made me want to leave the bar and smoke a quick bowl. All hops and fresh cut grass. Taste is muted hops, fruity and grassy. This was really good and drinkable.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from tap a hazy orange/amber with a white head. Aroma of sweet citrus, slight grapefruit, and some biscuit. Tastes of orange rind, grapefruit, and cereal. Taste let me down compared to the smell.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled on tap at the 2nd annual Urban Chestnut Wolpertinger party in a dimple mug. It poured a golden colour with slight chill haze, white foam and lace. A pretty basic, true-to-style IPA. Very hoppy. Not bad, by any means, I just don’t get what all the Nelson Sauvin hysteria is about. I can kinda pick-up some tropical and white wine grape notes, maybe, but nothing too unusual. Medium body and carbonation, well-rounded mouthfeel, lasting bittersweet aftertaste. Would be a refreshing summer beer, for sure.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap @ Urban Chestnut. Pours a hazy orange appearance with an off white head. Super spicy, resiny, grapefruity, pepper aroma that tickles your nostril and was really a bit too much for me. Orange/grapefruit citrusy, incredibly spicy, ganja, light white wine flavor. Pretty tasty but the hops were a bit out of control. If they ease up a bit on the amount of hops, this could be a fantastic beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
January 8, 2013 on tap at bewpub. Cloudy orange pour with some head and lacing. Tropical fruit and hoppy aroma. Taste was consistent with some malt as well though and the finish was a funky bitter.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Urban Chestnut. Also brought a growler and the character had changed a ton. Nose shows big Nelson hops, gooseberry, passion fruit, tropical. Some toasty malt that grows as the volatile fruit passes. On tasting, medium bitterness. Rich malt overall. Toasty. Fruity hop finish. Superb beer and a showcase.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler fill thanks to Brian for sharing... Pours a hazy orange caramel and topped with a creamy film of frothy white head... Catty hops with more of a biscuity caramel malt profile. Nelson doesn’t jump out to me as it did the previous beer. Herbal notes... Flavors are more of the same with more of a focus on a toasty caramel malt profile and an herbal lightly catty and grassy more subdued Nelson profile. Sweeter through the middle with a lightly bitter finish
