COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The big brother of our bocks. Darker, maltier, sweeter, and, of course, higher in alcohol than our Maibock. This "bock" could surely take out a troll. OG-18.5 Plato (Snifter)

Lovely doppelbock. Enjoyed this little bastard right after halloween. I have been angry at them for running out so fast.

1 liter growler shared by JohnF. The pour is gold amber with a small off white head. The aroma is sweet malt, toffee, caramel, toasted bread, along with a fruit element. Full and rich nose. The taste is the bread up front, toasty, along with the sweet caramel and toffee. The apple fruit is present, though quite muted. The taste, like the nose, is quite full. The palate is medium bodied, nice active cleansing carbonation and a dry finish. Clean, well made. Thanks for sharing this one John.

phaleslu (6335) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 22, 2012
Draft at iTap-Soulard, served in a pint glass. Pours a clear, deep, brown-hued amber with a small beige head. As the others have noted, this thing has a very malty aroma, with toast, caramel, brown sugar, graham crackers, pumpernickel, and a hint of earth. The flavor is equally sweet, malty, and toasty, with brown sugar, caramel, sweet crackers, toast, and a little bit of rye-like spice. Medium-bodied, with medium-high carbonation and a toasty, malty mouthfeel. Good doppelbock.

vyvvy (3949) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - JUN 17, 2012
Pours clear deep brown with a tan head. The aroma is very malty, rich and full with aspects of caramel, toffee and bread dominating. The body is thick and slick with soft carbonation. The flavor begins with dark caramel, toffee, brown sugar and is on the cloying side. The finish adds a herbal and licorice mix that not what I expected, but works fine here. It still remains very malty and rich throughout. Very nice for the style.

(draught) at Maifest, and again at tasting room; slightly hazy deep amber/copper with tan head; sweet malt aroma; full bodied with sweet caramel malt flavor
