COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Every year since 1947 there has been a Christmas tree lighting ceremony held in Trafalgar Square, the London memorial commemorating the decisive English naval victory of the same name. In honor of this yearís ceremony, which takes place on Thursday, December 1st, we are releasing a traditional English Pale Ale, Trafalgar - a briskly hopped (East Kent Goldings) lightly caramelly (from the Maris Otter winter barley), dry and crisp session ale. OG 13.0 (Imperial Nonic)

On nitro at the source. Pours a hazy orange with a big full small bead nitro head. Aroma is wet bread. Taste is sweet pale malt, caramel, bread dough and mild hop spiciness. True to style all the way.

Why did you put a hoppy beer on nitro? Donít do that. Smooth but all the flavor is gone.

Pour is a clear copper with a small whtie head. Aroma is deffinatly all malt. Very Maris Ottery. Flavor is a toffee and caramel malt forward beer. Finish is clean and earthy. Not a style thatís going to wow anyone but it was true to the style and very drinkable.

On tap at Urban Chestnut on Jan 11th. Pours a golden orange color with white head. Bitter, hoppy flavors. Alright english pale ale, but Iím not a big fan of the style.

January 8, 2013 on tap at brewpub. Cloudy orangish brown pour with some head. Citrus and piney hops plus some sweet malt in aroma and taste. Thin to medium body with some carbonation.

Draft at Urban Chestnut. Pours a hazy orange-gold with a reddish tinge and sticky white head. Nose is toasty malt and a grassy hops, light fruity notes. On tasting, orange blossom and fresh cut grass, toasty malts. Drying finish, medium bodied. Quite refreshing albeit a touch boring in terms of hops. Very well made.

Tons of thick head. Dark copper. Well balanced, fairly light body. Slight malt. Low ibus. Easy to drink.

Tasted on tap at the brewery tasting room in a nonic pint glass. It poured a hazy amber/copper color with persistent white foam and sticky lace. Aromas of earthy and citrusy English hops, husky grain, rising bread dough, freshly baked whole-grain bread, mild but pleasing and historically-accurate. Delicious, true-to-style flavors, too: sweet malts, biscuits, crackers, toasted nuts, light caramel, fruity ale yeast, apricots, orange rind and zest. Light-medium carbonation, light-medium body, lingering fruity and bittersweet aftertaste. Tasty, easy-drinking, and well-balanced English ale, I would love to drink several at a sitting. Highly recommended.
