COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Revolution Series #1: We are affectionately referring to the first beer in our Revolution series of modern, American craft beer, as our unusual little bird. It’s a little on the flighty side @ 6.5% ABV, and it’s a little on the wacky side because we’ll brew it with finely milled chestnuts (genus castanea …for you nut freaks), Willamette hops, and we’ll ferment it with a Bavarian Weissbier yeast strain. All of these nuances contribute to its ‘nutty’ personality. ABV- 6.5%, IBU’s- 25, OG – 14.5 Plato (UCBC Goblet)

I had this at Global Brew. Pours a hazy orange with a tan head. Taste nutty, malty. Reminds me more of a brown ale. I thought this was so so. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500 ml bottle shared by phaleslu. Pours a clear orange amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have clean bready malts, mild + sweetness, lightly nutty, yeast, grassy, lightly toasted. Decent, but nothing really stands out.

Nice copper pour w/ a white fluffy head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is weak & undetectable. Taste is clean & refreshing while having decent flavor. Not bad especially for a company I’ve never heard of until now!

Bottle from Strykezone. Odd aroma can’t put my finger on it. Must be the chestnuts. Nice amber hue with a moderate head. Some what tart after taste but not in a bad way. Don’t pick up much of the nut flavor. Very drinkably smooth.

Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a good head and nice lacing. Aroma of malt and nuts with a hint of spice, mild but pleasant. Taste of nuts with a malty sweetness and a bit of spice. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body, smooth with a bit of an oily texture. Enjoyable beer without being in your face.

Had on draft at brewery. Pours a hazy orange copper color with a finger of head and decent lacing. Aroma is on the light side but has elements of toasted nuts, sweet caramel malt and brown sugar as well as some spices. Nuttiness comes through first in taste as well as the sweet caramel. Light spice flavors like nutmeg or cinnamon as well as a hint of citrus towards the end. Mouthfeel is semi slick with a medium body and carbonation. Nice nutty flavors that go well with the spices and bit of sweetness.

Nearly clear, amber with a large tan head. Scent is old wood, nuts, malt, banana peel. Flavour is slightly bitter/tangy/herbal/nutty...... Nut flavor is sharp to bitter leaning. Strong woodiness, almost tart, oily, solvent... Just didn’t work well for me.

Draft. Interesting beer. Hefe mixed with a sort of nut brown. Not my fav combos but a good beer.

Pours amber orange with a large beige head. Smells nutty and malty. Taste is lightly nutty, lightly malty, smooth, and generally pleasant. Medium-bodied with a wet texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Urban Chestnut Winged Nut finishes with a very subtle nut flavor.
