Black with some chocolate brown appearance. Head dissipates quickly. Nothing jumps out flavor wise. Not overly alcoholic which is nice.

Before beginning my ratting, allow me to digress into the resplendent histories of Porter beer and the usage of rye malt in eastern Europe... Well, maybe not.
This ale pours an intensely dark brown opaque body with a sustained tan head. Itís got an aroma of dark brown sugar, treacle, and lightly roasted malt. Very smooth drinking, it tastes of dark caramel without the sweetness, a woody mild bitterness, a hint of chocolate, and a slight lactose sourness. Okay.

Dark pour from bomber. No head. Boozy fruity oily aroma. Taste is nutty brown beer taste. Mild hops, earthy and fresh carbonation. Not bad. Hoped for more

22 oz. bottle shared by Colin and Kristin - thanks, guys! Pours a chocolate brown, more opaque in the center and clear around the edges, with a minimal beige head that settles into a tiny ring. Notes of chocolate, rye, toast, nuts, tobacco, earth, caramel, and light dark fruits. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel. Nice porter.

First one I have had out of urban legend brewing. A reay tasty and easy to drink porter. Slightly smokey and chocolately. Had this one at home.

Bottle served in snifter: Pours a deep brown with a fading head, minimal lace. Plenty of tasty roast, walnut, and a touch of dark fruits along with some herbal bitterness. The rye is very subdued except for the finish. Mouth feel is a tad thin and ashy. It is a drinkable beer.

Draft. A bit on the lighter side body wise for a porter, but it isnít na imperial, pretty dry with lots of malt flavors.

Bomber to glass. Aroma has a lot of smoke and rye. Taste has a a lot of campfire. At least more body than most smoked porters. Ok but not much else going on.
