A straight forward mosaic hopped APA with notes of kiwi, grapefruit zest, onion and biscuity malts. Lively carbonation adds to the enjoyment. Yeah it is one note but a sweet harmony it sings.

Bomber. As compared to other APA’s I’ve tried, this is very good, though I don’t think I’d call it a great beer overall. Aroma is grassy, floral hops. Color is murky copper. Taste is a mix of piney, citrusy and grassy hops - a nice fresh hops taste that I really enjoy. Palate is a bit lacking, but after all, it is an APA. Decent and worth a try if you want to try an APA with nice fresh hop taste.

22 oz bottle from Berkots (New Lenox, IL). On a whim, this caught my eye. Only Honkey has rated it? Ok, then. Pours a well hazed darker amber hue, a bit dulled overall, lively carbonation, gentle lighter glow on the edges and bottom. Cakey offwhite head stays as a decent layer, sticks around ok and laces well enough. Aromas are firmer Mosaic fruity life, touches of kiwi, tropical fruit, pineapple, citrus rind and juice. Touches of floral as we settle, a bit bready with some soap, more tropical fruit life. Yum. Initial is lighter end of the fold, firmer bitterness up front doesn’t hit hard but grows on you instead. Touches of kiwi, citrus and fruity bitter vibes. A bit more mellow in body, the middle shows a touch more with bread, a touch of biscuit malt. Some earth, pineapple, grapefruit and florals as we move back. Lighter body, the fruit doesn’t hit as hard as the nose presents (at times - it also seems fleeting sometimes). A nice bitterness works, just that biscuit/toasty faint jab into the backend to let you know that this is still something with a bit of balance. I wouldn’t call this a bitter screamer or a fruity bomb, but it is enjoyable. The hop profile is pleasant, but not potent. The bitterness is on point and not overdone. A bit soapy and fruity hops as we finish, lingering florals, hop oils and dry. Well constructed, the Mosaic doesn’t pop quite as I expected past some initial shock on the nose but it has it’s kiwi and citrusy moments. It is a solid beer. Would be interesting to see this 1. On tap and 2. Maybe a touch fresher (This doesn’t taste old, but Honkey’s rate is almost a month old and I’m sure this is the same batch 40). Overall, a pretty solid beer though, pretty drinkable, the bitterness and fruit picks up more towards the back of the bottle. Worth a shot for sure. More importantly, a lot of potential for some fine tuning to really make it a pace setter.

22 oz. bomber. Pours a orange tinged amber with a small, quickly fading white head. Big, bright mosaic hop aroma, with lots of citrus, melon, and maraschino cherry. Flavor is wonderful, medium bitterness, bright fresh hop flavor, some sweet fruitiness imparted from the hops. Minimal malt presence. Medium carbonation, light bodied, pretty nice with a medium bitter finish. This is excellent.
