500 ml bottle bought at Great Food hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty during the store’s Oktoberfest promotion.
Piss pale golden straw colour with dirt-like yeast sediments; One quarter head with soapy white foam which lasts for about 20 seconds; Minimal lacing and very slight carbonation; Aroma of wheat malt, with cream crackers, yeast, faint phenolic, sugar, lemon soda and stale grass; Medium sweet taste of light wheat malt, with lemonade, sugar, soda, notes of wet cardboard, faint cloves, and hint of grass; Light body, watery and slightly dry palate; Mouth feel is very light weiss mixed with lots of lemonade, more sugary fruit juice taste which overwhelms the crispy wheats and yeast. clove and spice taste are minimal; Hoppiness is light but slightly stale and minimal grass nose and taste. No bitterness. Just sweet finish; Slightly dry after taste, very easy to mouth.
Comments: With wheat beer replaces the lager, this one is substantially better than Urbanus Radler - although pretty much a lemonade weiss mix, the latter’s prevalent stale hop taste is much more subdued here, and the wheat crispyness make this more refreshing and drinkable. An okay-ish Summer thirst quencher.
