Deep brown pour with a thick tan head. Roasty, slightly nutty and fruit aromas. Very smooth, nut and malt flavours with just a little bitterness at the end

Both can and bottle, here and there. Medium body carrying a lovely combination of molasses, dried fruit and chocolate. Creamy texture, light sweet, ending moderately bitter, with just a whiff of espresso. A great beer, definitely the best I had in Romania. And available almost everywhere. Both thumbs up, I already miss it.

Kolejne po ciemnej Silvie rumuńskie piwo, które mimo iż koncernowe, jest dobre w swoim smaku, choć oczywistym jest, że daleko mu do piw rzemieślniczych.

my thanks to Dorin for this beer... the aroma is caramel and fruity with hints of robust and vanilla... the taste is caramel with notes of toast, chocolate, licorice, dark fruits and toffee... light hopping... sweet and dry aftertaste... it’s really nice schwarzebier...

Meh, can’t quite like this as much as I feel I’m supposed to. Has basically one taste note, the roasted nut one, with other elements reminding more of a Baltic porter or, egads, a mass. Just on the right side of that line, alas! Still a good try from the RO branch of a huge multinational though

A surprisingly decent schwarz from Ursus. I have their lager in Romania and it was nothing special, but this is much better. Reminds me of Kostriker. Sugar malts, kinda boozy finish. Great gift from Kolosvar!

Draught at Beraria Ursus, Cluj. Pours a deep black, not much head. A pleasantly sweet and caramel aroma, some roasted notes. The taste was sweet (a little flat body) with very nice caramel addition. Not roasty, which I liked. Definitely very nice and extra drinkable.

Can. Deep dark brown with a small beige head. I have to agree that it tastes more like a weaker version of baltic porter rather than a Schwarzbier. Aroma is roasted, sweet, with hints of rasins. Medium full body, low bitterness. Rather sweet. Good.
