Deep brown pour with a thick tan head. Roasty, slightly nutty and fruit aromas. Very smooth, nut and malt flavours with just a little bitterness at the end

Black in colour. Aroma has some burnt toast and coca. Flavour is quite bitter with oodles of dark, roasted malts. Lighter aspects of caramel, coffee, tobacco come through too. A fairly smooth, easy drinking feel.

Poured from a can into a tall narrow glass to drink. The beer and a a thick black appearance with an average-sized creamy dark tan head with shorter retention, but decent cling and lacing. Its aroma featured notes of chocolate, bread, some earthy hops, and a little bit of grain. The taste had a subtle, sweet chocolate, bread, and grain mix with a slight earthy bitterness. The beer was pretty creamy and smooth with average carbonation and a very thick and wet mouthfeel. Pretty good overall.

Bottled. Pitch black, brown head. Aroma from sweet licorice and minerals(jacinth). Flavour is chocolatey, light roasty with flowery hops. Nut such big aftertaste though. A pleasant surprise from the country of Mâmâligâ!

Black with a brown head. Malty aroma from chocolate and cocoa. Chocolate flavor with cocoa, vanilla notes and a rather mild finish. Thanks to larsniclas for sharing the bottle...

Very good stout. Soft and simple but with almost all the elements you can look for in a stout. Deep black color with a beige head almost nonexistent. No carbonation. Very intense and rich smell and aroma of roasted malt, wood, coffee, chocolate... Very refreshing with a great aftertaste. I only miss a better appearance (head and carbonation) and a bit of bitterness in the finish. Overall, good.

Bottle. Told this is best beer in Romania but also see best before Sept 2010. Black beer. Brown head. Soft roast scent. Moderate roast flavour. Tasty enough. Tastes more brown than black. Still nice soft roast flavour. Thanks to Glouglouburp.

Roasted malt taste with hints of plum, liquorice and coffee. All well balanced, nice beer, especially with food.

Bottle at a Rustic Pizza Restaurant an hour South of Cluj. I’m impressed with this beer! Full bodied, rich bitter (seemingly bitter) coco with an aftertaste that lingers. Very nice!
