COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

MarkoNm (774) - Novo mesto, SLOVENIA - OCT 27, 2014
Draught at Beraria Ursus, Cluj. Pours a hazy golden color, topped with average white head. A gentle grainy aroma, some malty hotes. The taste is very clean, slightly sweet with a decent bitterness. Very refreshing and extra smooth. Definitely a highlight of the night. Great.

Tap. Pours hazy light amber with a medium white head and good lacing. Aroma is grain, grass, quite light overall. Flavor is the same, light sweet and light bitter. Clear step up from the "premium" but nothing special. Light body.

Draught at Nahu Berarilor, Bucharest. Served in stein - probably golden with mid sized head. Fruity grassy nose. Mid dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Notes of butter and grass. Mid bitter finish. Refreshing and harmonious.

Derbeth (367) - Kraków, POLAND - SEP 2, 2013
Aroma is herby hops, malt and yeast with a very fresh feel. Pale colour, hazy, nice long lasting head with good lacing. Medium bitterness. Average carbonation. Tastes like a beer from a micro-brewery and has something Czech in its character. Altogether, a pleasure to drink and in my opinion the best Romanian beer. 50 cl draft.

Draught at Berăria Ursus, Cluj, Romania, March 2013. Pours cloudy golden with a quick, dissolving white head. Faint banana, then malt and bread aroma, bitter, slightly bready taste. Sweetish finish, carbonated, medium-to-full body.

1l. Unclear golden yellow with a nice white long lasting head. No aroma no flavour no aftertaste just some maly feeling. Worst beer from ursus.

Oakes (12789) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 29, 2012
Draught in Cluj. Cloudy tan. The aroma is a little bit yeasty on the nose. Slightly spicy, yeasty, with some freshness and malt character. Just a touch of that signature spicy hop. Decent, nice to see this beer in the home of Ursus.

Vargatul (138) - Bucharest, ROMANIA - SEP 24, 2012
Draught @ Curtea Berarilor, Bucharest. Pale golden colour, not too cloudy, long white head. Aroma has fresh notes of yeast, cereals, walnuts leaves. Light to medium body, bittersweet taste, watery texture, bitter aftertaste with metallic hints.

Beershine (5218) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - AUG 27, 2012
Draft at at Bulgakov cafe in Cluj (nice place with super patio). Nicely hazed, dark yellow-gold with white head. Aroma is pleasantly yeasty, and reminiscent of kit beer. And so is the palate, but it is super refreshing. I wish those hops overpowered the yeast but it still has a really pleasant character. as palate attenuates, the hops do come out and it never feels tacky--in fact, i could easily drink more and do...
