12 oz bottle served in a tulip. Pour is blonde with two fingers of wispy white head. Nose is candied sugar, spices, cantaloupe, and hops. Taste is similar, but the hops are resinous and not overbearing. Very balanced strong ale, and I’ll be damned if can tell where the ABV is, it’s almost absent!

Pours light golden with a medium white head and decent retention. Lots of floaties. Aroma of yeast and a light fruitiness and some alcohol on the nose. Grapefruit maybe. Taste is as if an IPA and a Belgian Tripel has sex and this beer was the outcome. Some IPA bitterness and some yeasty Belgian crispness. As with several of their beers, I was surprised, and that is a good thing. Yum!
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 arminjewell (2445) - Parker, Colorado, USA - MAR 25, 2010
Pours deep golden with white lasting head. Aroma is grassy and floral hops leading into some earthy belgian malt. Taste up front is big lemon, citrus, and floral hops leading into a sweet belgian and biscuity malt with some yeast flavor and a nice dry and sweet finish. The definition of a perfectly balanced beer.

Tap @ Sin and Redemption. Golden with a thin creamy head. Smells like an imperial pilsner Urquell. Huge floral hop aroma. Saaz heaven. Taste is sweet upfront, followed by pleasant bitterness. Mouthfeel is clean and smooth with some resinous hops. 9.5%! Where’s the booze hiding?

11.2-oz bottle Phillipe’s Lafayette, LA - Aroma: grainy (husk-like), black peeper, lemon, floral; Appearance: clear, golden color, white head, laces; Flavor:sweet, salty, bitter; Mouthfeel: full bodied, thick texture, average carbonation; Overall: very nice hoppy, fruity, spicy, and strong belgian beer with a refreshingly dry finish. However, I wish more of a distinct hop character.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 wimpie133 (380) - Brugge, BELGIUM - MAR 15, 2010
Bottle, 33 cl. Blonde, light orange hazy beer in a beautifull glass and a huge white head, nice lacing. Smell of hops, but also grainy (a bit like the Tripel Karmeliet), light spicy with some sweetness included Taste is hoppy, spicy, herbal, grainy and has a surprising full mouthfeel for a hoppy beer. At the end an enjoyable warming alcohol aftertaste comes into your mouth ending with a bitter finish eventually. At first just a nice beer to drink all the way, but the further you drink the more special the beer becomes.
