Hazed orange pour and foamy white head. Citrus and caramel aroma as well as Belgian yeast/wheat. Wheat and citrus taste goes down smooth and easy for 9.5%. Some bitterness on the finish.

Quite lively with a column of carbonation streaming upwards through a well-hazed amber body to support a full and creamy white head. Continental hopping is a fun complement to this beers prominent aroma of yeastiness... light herbs and green woodsiness to caramel-sweetened cheesiness. Hops are by no means abrupt in the flavor, adding instead a fresh herbal essence to a graham-cracker-sweetened and alcohol-peppered yeastiness. Fluffy mouthfeel, full and creamy, with a mild cloy. Yeasty murky orange yellowish body with a humongus white pillowy head. Saaz hops (I think) with a fruity apricot and citrus aroma. Full flavored, some peppery notes. This is a style combination I really enjoy. Really nice stuff here. I’d like to see how this stacks up against the Chouffe example. Only detractor is a slight medicinal flavor, but I can get past that.

[2131-20090504] Tap. Mild flower yeast aroma has some sweet grass hops. Clear, yellow brown body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Abrupt hops up front flavour has some earth notes before finishing sweetly and a little cloyingly. Light-medium body. Average.

Cold corked 750 ml bottle: Pours a light orange/yellow color, is hazy and contains floating sediment, and a big, fluffy off-white head that eventually dissolves. Aroma and taste are of nice grains and yeast, with grassy hops, light fruits and white pepper. Medium bodied and smooth, with good carbonation. Ending is moderately bitter.

750ml bottle: Pours a hazy dark yellow with a large white foamy head, aroma has rich light fruits, pepper and yeast, starts and ends lightly bitter with an apple alcohol aftertaste, medium bodied with ample carbonation.

Bottled 33cl. It pours a hazy golden beer with a tall creamy head. The nose reminds me of a mediocre tripel with melon, cork, yeast and chestnuts showing up. Sweet taste. Relatively low bitterness. Yeasty with a lot of melon, banana and cork emerging. Peppery with hints of white bread. Residual sugars in the finish. A easy drinkable beer which is too sweet to my liking.

Bouteille de 750 ml, avec bouchon de liège, obtenue via Importations Privées Bièropholie. Arôme: Odeur d’agrumes et d’épices avec une pointe de pomme. Apparence: La couleur est blonde voilée avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût d’orange avec une pointe d’épices. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement onctueuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Présence de zestes d’orange en arrière goût. (Rating #2442)
