Aroma not of grapes, but of grape juice. Dark apricot, amazing white head.. Tiny bubbles. Dark fruit, hops, banana notes lingering bitterness on my palate. Warming alcohol present. Good but not my favorite Belgian IPA.

I loved this beer, I can’t say enough about it, definitely my new favorite belgian beer for sure. the color was a beautiful haze yellow, almost lemon curd like. nice thick white head. The flavor was subtly sweet a nice hoppyness, citrusy and slightly peppery
the finish was great ,a little hoppy and a tiny bit of alcohol warmth, all in all a great beer

Pours a golden orange color with a white head. Citrusy aroma. Fruity flavor that starts sweet and peppery and has a crisp hoppy finish. Medium body with lively carbonation. Average BSA.

Pours a light orange or peach color with a relatively thick off white head that does settle down to a thin foamy layer. Still some nice lacing on my Chimay glass. The aroma is quite subtle with some yeast, citrus fruits and a grassy or straw scent. Alright aroma but a bit boring. This is tangy tasting with a citrus zing, some yeast and spicy hops. While this is a little different than what I thought I might be getting it is quite good. Very smooth and enjoyable with a full enough mouthfeel. There’s a touch of an alcohol note in the finish but it is nicely balanced and considering it’s 9.5% I’d call it very mild. It wasn’t all that cheap for me but I recommend giving this one a try!

(3/17/08) Bottle at De Wildeman in Amsterdam. Golden color with floaties and a medium white head that falls pretty quick. Aroma of hops, some citrus and some yeast. Sweetish flavor with some malt, lots of hops, fruits and some yeast notes. Medium-bodied. Quite nice.

750mL bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Aroma is spicy, peppery, estery, and a bit earthy. A few floral notes. Not overly hoppy in the nose, but still pretty pleasant. Mild-moderate hazy golden/honey color with a large, frothy white head and generous lacing present. Creamy, lightly sweet candy-sugared start. Becomes a bit spicy and herbal in the middle. Light booziness to finish with minimal hop bitterness. This isn’t a bad beer at all...actually it is good. I just don’t see where they get off calling it "Hop-it", because the hops are relatively subdued.

11.2 oz bottle. Golden pour with a long lasting white head. Tastes like one of them IPA tripels - grassy, malt in the back, slightly spicy. Alcohol is well hidden. Smooth and short finish. Nice beer.
