1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Aroma: yeast, alcohol. Unbalanced taste. Sweet, bitter, strong. Bad head. Not at all as hoppy as you think. Hop-it?

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from old backlog notes 07. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have Belgian yeast, citrus, fruity esters, pale malts, moderate sweetness, decent enough though I would probably not grab this again with so many options.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Murky amber color with white medium-lasting head. Aroma is more like a Belgian Ale, spicy and fruity. Taste is hoppier than the aroma, but with some moderation. Spicy taste, with some peppers, esters and a slightly banana hints. Alcohol is extremely well hidden. The aftertaste is bitter, but it doesn’t last for a long time. Interesting, but I expected a much more hoppy beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at the Brouwcafe. Scheveningen. Poured a clear straw colour with a long lasting frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is big dry yeast and unmistakably Belgian. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a big, crisp, yeasty boozy alcohol light hop palate and a long bitter finish.
Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Rather Duvel like. Didn’t really get the hops at all.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Keg at six degrees north Aberdeen. Clear yellow straw coloured pour with a thin lasting white head. Aroma us subdued earthy, orange peel, grainy and some alcohol in the nose. Flavour is composed of grainy base malt, hot alcohol, headache inducing fussels, orange peel and Belgian yeast. Light on the tongue with spritzy carbonation and some solvent. Rough bitterness lingers on the tongue with some orange peel.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
370 ml bottle at Beermarkt in Montreal.
Pours a light yellow with thick frothy white head
Smells of bready yeast, bananas and hops.
Tastes like a hoppy wheat beer with some bitterness on the tip of the tongue but with a lightly sweet swallow. Some floral notes throughout.
Overall, very Belgian but one of the best I’ve had in that category.
