colemgm8 (388), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Jul 4, 2008 bottle. pours a golden color with a decent white head which lasts throughout as a 1/8". pleasant Belgian spicy / yeasty aromas blended with some hops. Drinks very well - and at 9 1/2 % that can catch up with you. very even palate and medium body. smooth from front to back. the spice comes alive on the tip a bit, and the finish is a bit bitter - but nothing compared to the typical American IIPA. This is a great Belgian style IPA....

Wim (792), Turnhout, Belgium Oct 4, 2008 hazy gold blond sparkling body with a large white head a sweet malty aroma a sweet malty spicy taste with a alcoholic spicy bitter finish kiefdog (482), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 29, 2008 75cl bottle courtesy of markwise. Pours a hazy bright golden with a massive thick and foamy white head. Good retention and lacing. Aroma is much like that of a tripel ale--sweet malt, honey, caramel, some spice --with the addition of some hoppiness. Flavor is much of the same with lively carbonation, sweet malt, honey, caramel, candy sugar and just a slight balance of hoppiness toward finish. Generally medium body with a sweet, slightly bitter finish. bigrond (866), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 26, 2008 I enjoyed this beer. Smooth and hoppy, well balanced. Nice color and even mouthfeel. Hard to believe it was 9.5%. very well hidden. CaryTheDude (284), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Sep 25, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. It’s kinda skunky with a little skunk thrown in. Some floaties make me happy, but this is like King Fisher with higher alcohol.
