Interesting beer. Was skeptical after reading the description. Lives up to it pretty well. Not too hoppy and more on the blonde ale side of the spectrum. Would not order it again but can’t say anything bad about it
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 mrmartin (344) - Oakland, California, USA - JAN 29, 2012
Amber pour with medium eggy head. Nose is resiney/grassy hops and very sweet malts. Sticky resiney front. Medium body. Short but sticky bitter finish.
A little boozy as it warms. Definitely as described a hoppy belgian!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ferfie (174) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 29, 2012
Originally rated 10/05/11. Pours fairly light orange/pale blonde. Crystal clear, great carb and nice head, leaving lacing. The smell is really strong deep red like fruit, not very spicy, slightly funky and sour, with a nice dryness offsetting all of that. If I really inhale hard, to the point of hyperventilating, I think I can pick up some of that 9.5%. Taste is a lot like those deeper redder kind of fruits, reminding me of a Gulden Draak, some date & molasses sweetness. But it also has some slightly sourish and bright tinges, almost like if you mixed dates with blackberries and raspberries. The effervessence and dryness really help to balance out some of the heavier flavours upfront. Then you get a delightful booziness, not an overwhelming burn, it’s a noticeable strength and warmth, and some hoppy bitterness. The body on this is between medium and full – and the finish is actually really nice, because of the interweaving of alcohol and hoppiness. In all, very nice and interesting.

33cl bottle. Golden beer with a good formation of white head, due to its high initial carbonation. Aroma is fresh, hoppy and floral. Flavour is bittery with a moderate duration and with a final also moderate bittery. Fruity and floral hints. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium.

A: Gold with lots of foamy head.. decent lacing and retention
S: Lots of floral hops.. sweet malts (honey and apples and pears?) with some phenols and yeast rounding out a complex nose..
T: Disappointing... I think they over did it here as the fruity malts come across really funky when matched with the floral hops... some metallic almost coors light like finishing notes
M: Dry, crisp finish. Tickles the tongue.
